  1. Hi All

I had ordered a new Honda Forza 350 a month ago. The dealership told me it would be a 4 week delivery. I called today to enquire when I pickup and was told it would be another 6 week wait.

Not impressed, I looked online for a 2nd hand deal and found an identical bike except its the 2019 model.

Does anyone know what the differences are apart from the size of the engine? ie - 300cc vs 350cc

I don't ride fast anyways so don't really need the extra 50cc

    The Marriott is very nice.

Good for families. Pool, breakfast and location - all good.

G Hua Hin Resort on Soi 94 is good too.

Wannara Hotel Hua Hin is a bit more basic but good location and decent enough rooms. Not sure what the breakfast is like.

In the south of town in Khao Takiab is Anantasila Resort which is nice too: https://forum.thaivisa.com/topic/1177858-anantasila-hua-hin-exclusive-rates-for-thais-expats-living-in-thailand-expires-30-nov/

    Thank you for the info

  3. Hi Guys

    We live in Chiang Mai

Looking at taking the family down to Hua Hin around Xmas time for a 3 night stay.

Never been before so seeking suggestions for a family.

I have a 14 year old boy and a 1 year old baby.

Like something on or close to the beach and a nice pool. Always like to get breakfast included.

We will be driving and staying midway or close to that on the way down. Any suggestions on possible places to stay on the way down would be appreciated.

    Cheers

would have thought that any hotel which is open at the present moment would bite your hand off to rent you a room.

You do not say which area of CM you are interested in.

Maybe on the Hang Dong side of the old town or even anywhere near the 121 ring road on the southern side

  5. Hi All

My friend just left for Krabi from Chiang Mai and left an important package behind.

I need to get it to him asap as he is only in Krabi for one week before leaving.

Any suggestions on who to use or how to send by normal post so it gets there on time?

  6. This is such a terrible terrible situation. There are SO many medical properties of CBD and hemp oil, and yet you cannot become intoxicated from it in the slightest. The stigma that has been carried over from decades of misinformation has taken it's toll. In this day and age you cannot buy a natural medical treatment with scientific weight behind it, a treatment that can help millions and millions of people, because it comes from a specific plant.
This needs to change fast. I know of people who have suffered with things such as PTSD or extreme anxiety disorders, who now dose CBD oil in the mornings, and their lives have been totally changed. They do not live in fear and are not riddled with anxiety anymore, and they can go on with their lives with positivity and contentment. And no they are not walking around stoned, because CBD oil doesn't intoxicate.

I've read that Thailand actually grows, makes and exports CBD oil as of now, yet they do not sell it to their own people lol? Disgusting
Where do they grow it, and do you require a permit?

  7. Its not always about being close to the consulate. If you dont mind nothing around you and just intend to sit in room in hotel for a day then great Avalon is best suited although the tv stations are crap. I like to get out and about and the Joli or pilgrims kitchen suit us better. More to see and do. Close to the town and its night life. Half the problem when people say Savannakhet is boring nothing to do, is that they choose to stay nearer the consulate as its always on here "yes its great and only a 10 min walk to consulate" and stay in hotel so yes it will be boring with nothing to do!.

    Hi
Last year i found the place boring as hell. Im heading off on Sunday from CM and will be staying Monday night in Savannakhet. What hotel do you suggest is the best to be amongst some sort of nightlife and decent food?

Get the 60 day extension at immigration for 1900 baht.

You can get two visa exempt entries by land per calendar year.

    Okay,

    Thanks for the info.

I actually like the drive to Mae Sai, as it is a getaway for me.

I was worried that once i went over the border there, they would refuse a visa exempt entry due to me having normally been on Non Imm " O " marriage visa.

    Looks like its fine.

Will this affect me when i eventually drive to Savannakhet for the new One Year " Non " O " multiple entry visa?

  9. Hi All

My multiple entry "O" marriage visa has expired. Before it expired i did do a border run to Mae Sai and got the last 3 months stamp i was allowed. It runs out on the 18th September.

Is it possible to go to Immigration and get a further one month extension prior to it finishing on the 18th Sept?  If so how much does it cost and are there any requirements other than taking your passport and marriage docs?

Also is another option to go out at the border at Mae Sai before the 18th and get a one month tourist visa?

I will be going to Savanakhet although not ready yet as i have other people who wish to go in another 3 weeks with me, so its worth me waiting as can save on fuel costs etc.

    Any help appreciated.

  10. Hi All

I have a new irrigation system i have designed and wish to try to get it produced in Thailand.

I currently live with my family in Chiang Mai and would prefer a manufacturer up here although would also be okay with a factory in Bangkok.

Of course im looking for a quality factory that is trustworthy in not manufacturing my product and selling locally on the side. Would prefer a western run factory if anyone knows of one.

Any tips or info would be much appreciated.

  11. Thanks so much for all the info.

The ones on Lazada, although expensive look like they will be suitable for the job at hand.

I have messaged people directly re their offers to help and again I really appreciate the feedback and help everyone gave me.

    All the best.

  12. Hi

    No they don't.

Everywhere up here only has 2.6mm.

Im using think steel tube and just blow holes with this size.

They keep telling me that in Thailand they don't have anything under 2.6mm. I find this very hard to believe.

    Thanks anyway

  13. Hi All

Just purchased a small machine to do some welding.  I have found that the only size Welding Electrodes they seem to have here in Chiang Mai is 2.6mm.

Im doing some fine work and really need to source some 2mm Electrodes. We have them in Australia but i cannot find them anywhere here.

Does anyone have any idea where i could find these rods in Thailand?

    Any info appreciated.
