With all due awareness of corruption, privilege and incomprehensible incompetence inherent in Thai 'government', I disagree.
Soldiers are a risk group by virtue of their living conditions - packed close together in barracks, marching close together, communal feeding, contact sports and gym training ... ideal conditions for plague spread.
It may be easier to isolate simply by confining to barracks ... but do you seriously think that would work?
And if this goes much further they'll need the military to help out with vaccines etc just like in Germany and UK and elsewhere that aren't famed for coups.
This <deleted> ain't no joke.
Whether a soldier should get it before a cancer sufferer is doubtful, but if there's no-one else in the queue ahead, jab 'em.
I think there are more people who must be in the first line.. Teachers who stand in classes with 50 students in a class as an example, if the schools opens and no teachers are vaccinated there could be a bigger outbreak. Secondly policemen, taxidrivers, and other jobs that are in close contact with many people. and on the very first place of course, the health care workers. The doctors I believe are not in to get this B-vaccines, I suppose they will wait for the better ones

I am 62 and I know how to use apps on my telephone, but I don't like it. In Thailand there are a lot of eldery people who maybe don't have or use the smartphone. I think it is one reasons that they can't register. Besides there is a whole system that isn't working. How many people are registered in provinces where they don't live?? It would be easy to call every one to the hospital with a letter to get the jab. But because of the bad where-do-you-live-and -where- registered system it is impossible to know what the real adressess are. Shortly make the registration easier for everybody

I think that is the bit they missed out until after they tested positive.......seems harsh though.
I think if you go to hospital and ask for a covid test, the hospital will ask why..... and if you tell them i just want to do it, they don't do it, only for people who has symptones or were at risk. So if they say after the hospital maybe refused to do the test, and they said but my broter has it.. you can call that further investigation???

So Anutin when he opens his mouth only lies come out. The Government and health minister can surely take immediately actions. There is an emergency decree...But Anutin will not do anything. Yesterday a meeting with Moderna and somewhere in this month the approval.. Why?? Today he can talk with with Czar Prayuth and telephone the company to sent the vaccines, but no first an approval, than a committee than another meeting in the parliament and than approval of the FDA and somewhere next year we will get it... Action is needed quick and without delays...

I don't understand. They go and visit their brother in Bangkok. Brother tests posituve on Covid, he inform his brother and wife. They go to the hospital to take a test.....what hidden timeline??? I suppose they tell the hospital that they want a test because their brother was positive. So they don't hide anything. The hospital test the couple and they are positive.. and now there is a problem. Maybe if they had no symptons and did not get a test there was no problem. because lot of people are a-symptonic too

In another article.. hospitals close because their staff is infected by patients.. Why first airport personell Vaccinate the front workers in healthcare first. They have to be able to work safely ,, What will happen if more hospitals have to close?? Think Thailand Think... but that is an illusion.. less ten 1000 pax a day and vaccinate.. thousands coming to the hospitals let them wait

we wait and wait and check and wait ... in the meantime we cry a bout the rising numbers. I am wondering why vaccines, working good in other parts of the world, which are tested several times already, why this countrry just can't say ok. we make a deal sent them asap, instead of waiting for what?? nobody knows. Waste of time

If they really disagree with the Government I would say show it and come on the streets with the people who already want a change.. Unite and together things can be achieved.

so start with the fake numbers of Covid cases first, than check the timeline of the Justice Minister who didn't care to spread Covid, Anutin with his fake messages and talks all the time about difficulties to get vaccines and Prayuth who tells fake stories all the time.. and so on and on and on

place him in an inactive post ... It is a shame for the Government and Thailand that a minister holds a party at that time.. He should be an example

It will be the first head that starts rolling.. the beginning of the end for this Government. And put them in dungeons with water and bread

Well using due precautions including isolation and full quarantine should be sufficient it's sufficient for everyone else right?
We are only talking about 3 people. Despite other misgivings I may have about the present governments covid response. I think the willingness to repatriate their citizens from India in these times shows some willingness to protect their citizens that may not always be apparent.
This gesture should be applauded not denigrated IMO.
we will see ......I think there is a difference between a more transmittable dangerous Covid mutation and a pneumonia or something. Thailand is not exactly the country at the moment that is working for their people to get protected.. They missed the bandwagon and are now far behind.. That is a a difference too with other countries.

How stupid to import the highly dangerous Indian mutated Covid to Thialand?? Here with inferior vaccines, gthere will be sure more problems. IMO they can put all the plans to open for tourists far away.. There are bad times to come it is not even started here

What a shocking news.... I wrote already a few weeks back that this was the case. Same in schools. If 1 student gets a cold the class will get sick. Some more than other kids but it is normal. Here in Thailand they seemed shocked that if you live together, eat together and sleep together you have a great risk to get infected by Covid if one of the family memebers is infected. A mask in the car will not prevent that. Thailand re invents the wheel time after time
-
Be fair, this is the result of an incompetent Government. They had enough time to prepare and order vaccines for the people. But they only think about the brown envelopes and own wealth. Now people can register for a jab which will be given in June .. that is another 4 weeks away and a second jab after 3 weeks and than another 2/3 weeks before you are protected. So in fact between 6 and 10 weeks from now few million people are getting protected . But the Sinovac vaccines are not reliable, what will happen if they are vaccinated and the vaccine refuse to do its job?? It could be worse

3 questions if I may
Who has told you that you have to pay Thai Tax on your pension?
Do you have a tax ID in Thailand?
Which country does your pension come from and what is the Double Taxation agreement between them and Thailand.
Yes I have a tax id number, and there is a agreement between Thailand and my country. And to prevent double tax I have to fill in a form and sent it to my tax office in my country. They will inform my pension fund not to withold tax and than I have to pay tax in Thailand. But the taxoffice in my Amphur doesn't want to stamp and sign my form, but they said that they would like I pay the tax in Thailand. So first I have to pay tax here and see how I get my paid tax in my home country back.

I had a similar situation first they told us , only for married couples. but that is not possible yet. Since a few years they are surprised that I still not registered at the Amphu , and the cam up with legalizing my passport and translate it and legalize it .. But that I don't do yet for the costs and time it takes. But now I will get my pension and now they want I pay tax here. I wen to the tax office to get a stamp that I don't need to pay tax in my country, because they deduct the tax before they pay out, but the tax office here can not do it. First I have to pay here 1 year tax and than they maybe give me the stamp. But I have to pay tax 2 times in this year and they told that I have to try to get my tax refund back in country. That can take 2 years, so no option. Very easy, If they don't want to register me, I don't live here and I don't need to pay tax too. Easy living than

Phuket is s special province/island.. It has to be make their own rules because they want cost to cost have the tourists at the 1st July.. So more vaccines , more special privileges. It has to be the model of how good Thailand is handing the crisis.. But.... unfortunately........ it will fail
-
I don;t have a pink id card or a yellow book. They want I first go to the Embassy for a legalised copy of my passport and than let it translate and legalize again at foreign affairs in Bangkok.. for me it is not worth making all these costs and spend the time for doing it. I went several times to the Amphur and always the same .. They even are surprised I have a tax number and live here already for 16 years .. and everytime they tell me why don't you have a pink card.. and I answer the same.. give me one and they come up again with the legalized copies and translations...So I stopped asking

I remember there was DJ who gave a private party and people got infected and he was fined and got jailterm too. This minister who is a public figure and must be an example for the people in the country causes more than 50 infections and 1 dead that is not acceptable,So minister resign and if there is hope for any justice in Thailand put this man in jail......
The bar managers had to do a jail term too for 3 months....

He said that vaccine producers had been hampered in their ability to sell vaccines in Thailand due to demand in the countries where they are produced.
So Thailand is the only country that can not get vaccines because other countries want to have vaccine too?? Strange explanation for failing vaccine policy

So what is the problem?? They can change a cabinet in 1 day but forms and approval of lifesaving drugs has to take weeks? months??? Get rid of these incompetent men asap. THey have a emergency decree to make quick decisions .. so show that that works now
