  1. another teen involved murder... A shortage of education and too much attention in the news.. Thailand like to copy so stop with broadcasting the clips they have made. Just mention what is goin on once and finish instead of showing the clip 10 times and talking about it for 30 minutes... the attention the more fame for the criminal
  2. I know but that is no answer on my question... Normally the government propose and make laws, and the parties ruling and opposite discuss them and vote. But here everything seems to go first to another institution and than back with or without approval of the institution. If the institutions have so much power why need an elected Government?
  3. Compare this case with a section 112 case..... Obvious the latter is far worse. And even the CC doesn't see that the punishment for section 112 are too severe for too little
  4. Before the decision is made it will be probably 2026...Same sex marriage takes 2 decades too
  5. I am wondering who is in charge in THailand.. We have a Government but they have to wait for the EC, CC, Senate and the NACC to make any decision. What is the use of a government than if everybody must have a say
  6. Sounds nice but 40-50% are Thai tourists.....What is a definition of a tourist in Thailand?? Someone living in Thailand and sleep in another place for a few days? Than it is only domestic tourism and is no new money coming in the economy
  7. You are so correct...... the invisibility and silence is the cause of the most problems now
  8. THe CC should only check if the laws are properly used an confirm with the other laws. In this case, a law was made centuries ago as in many other countries to protect the monarch from insult and defamation. Other cultures and monarchies have also lese majestic laws, but they are upgraded and changed as times changes too. Everybody will change their phone, color of their house, a new car, without any meaning to destroy. Indeed the CC can rule that the law of 112 is meant to protect the monarch. However the problems about section 112 started when the Government used it to silence protesters, as they called that they felt be abandoned. So a clear update is very needed to prevent abuse of this section started with the Prayuth Government. But now the court has silenced everybody and that is not their job
  9. Good ... I hope they had interesting conversations while they had their dinner... about the next elections, or how to bring down the Government
  10. no need to amend, just write a totally new one..With a military coup they destroy the existing one every time, so now time to write a new good one, that can't be destroyed, as in the US, and many other countries..
  11. It is the voice of the ones really in charge of the country...
  12. Critics can not be done in Thailand.. another example after hotels, restaurants now the airline is complaining... The customer should look for alternatives and boycot this kind of childish behaviour...
  13. Do you live in Thailand?
  14. On short term yes, but the new petitions filed to the EC it could turn otherwise... and with a possibility with tanks in the streets again, I think the best way to do now is leave MFP untouched and everything would be fine
  15. There is spend to much time already on all kind of non issues.. Enter the 21st century accept that laws can change, accept that there is opposition, Look over the land borders where other monarchies have the same lese majesty laws band how they deal with it and how the deal with opposition parties and election result and become a real democracy, instead of a pretending one
  16. The common people are not allowed in The Government only for the elite and army fans... A good new example again. Move Forward the winner of the most votes was prevented to deliver the PM. Mr Pita was cleared form the mediashares, probably they knew already the verdict of yesterday and are hoping he will be banned for 10 years or longer and the party being dissolved. CC saved face and with new protests coming the army has a reason for a new coup.. Poor Thailand.. being hold back by such a leaders
  17. Will this man never stop?? Who start to investigate him and surely they find things how he get his wealth or is paid for all this crap
  18. I agree, but it was never so bad as the last years...and the tourism going back already for years and first they had the Chinese coming in, but now they don't come anymore in big numbers, and there is no is/was no investment in the tourism industry Thailand has lost a lot of its charm.
  19. Compare the number of tourists when the THB was 40/45 for a euro, If a tourist want to have a beer at 15.00 as that is not abnormal, it is not allowed. In other countries they can order a beer whenever they want...Holiday is meant for relaxing, and if I want to vape I should not be fined.. Apparently you never went abroad and saw how relaxed your holiday is.. Go to Spain, France, Greece Turkey Vietnam or Singapore.. They don't have these laws. People look what fits best in what they want in their holiday and being bound several restrictions...And not so many tourists are going on holiday for 60 or 90 days... People have to work too
  20. of course the interest rate should be cut. The Government wants a loan and the interest they have to pay will be too high.. so cut the interest rate easy to borrow the 500 billion for the 10k scheme
  21. There is no point in more laws.. Start with serious enforcement of the existing ones.. Never checked if I have a driverslicense Never checked my lights, Never checked if I have been drinking. Only the sticker of the taxpayment and of you go
  22. Same as the Koh Tao murders??? they had to confess too.. I know how the police in Thailand interrogate you, so a confession could be forced.. But if he has done it he is stupid, as he did not flee
  23. IT will have no impact on tourism.. Most people in Europe and America have a 3/4 week holiday normally. Besides, the airpollution, political unrest, expensive THB, forbidden vaping and double pricing and alcohol buy and sales limitations are of much more impact for the tourists.. Nowadays, tourist are a target for robberies too. In Europe there is a campaign going on to travel less dfor the climate, which makes flying more expensive and people have to pay more for their daily things, which has the impact that they don't go on expensive holidays.. Tourists will always come to zThailand, but a 90 day free visa will not have an impact
  24. I think if it there are people on the street and protests or even tanks re appear tourists will not come... But maybe I am the ignorant stupid man.. Future will point out what will happen and to call section 112 a pearl is a sign that you are very outdated
  25. Very sad day for Thailand, and their so called democracy... Laws should have the possibility to be amended.. Updates are needed to keep on in recent times.. Law for death penalty is also out of date and new laws as samesex marriage are being brought in... I am sure Thailand will pay a price for this verdict No TAT can prevent that
