  1. It used to be: you walk into any small clinic, the doctor looks at you, might even probe you with his stethoscope on the outside of your shirt, then say: all good. You pay THB 50-100 and you got a shiny new health certificate for your work permit or drivers license. But of course if you want a proper evaluation of your health you walk into a reputable hospital like Bumrungrad, get the full checkup package (THB 5k) and they'll give you xrays, ekgs and draw like 7-8 vials of your blood plus a <deleted> sample for lab tests and provide you with a long report of your current health status together with a consultation to run over the results and provide you with a health certificate. I've done both and I think the second option is well worth it unless you're in a hurry or on a very tight budget.
  2. Unsolicited advise, consider getting a dynamic microphone instead of a condenser if you don't have a super quiet studio environment.
  3. Thanks that's very helpful, we live just a few km outside Rattanaburi so we'll be driving through Surin city, I'll try get the banking details done there. I didn't know about the new immigration in Surin, but I think I'll try Kap Choeng even it's a bit further away, sounds like it's more established. Cheers, Jake Thanks, It's a shame they closed their Bangkok Bank branch, but I'll get it done in Surin city instead. Sounds like Kap Choeng is a bit more laid back than Bangkok and not having to wait in line for 4 hours is a big plus. Cheers, Jake
  4. Tragic, that's a terrible way to go, rip. When I woke up this morning around 6am it was 16C outside.
  5. Another quick question, is there a Bangkok Bank branch in Kap Choeng where I can update my bank book and get a letter? I did check on Google Maps, but it wasn't really clear, there is something marked as a Bangkok Bank branch, but it looks like a residential building in a small moo baan. Thanks, Jake
  6. Greetings, Wife and I recently moved from Bangkok to Surin and it's time to apply for a non-o extension of stay based on marriage at the end of this month. We are renting a house here and we did the Section 38 app registration together with the owner to make sure it would get done. From what I've gathered I need to travel to the immigration in Kap Choeng for the extension. I wonder if there are any differences in the requirements/procedure compared to Bangkok, perhaps if anyone got experience with non-o at Kap Choeng could share some tips and advise. Thanks, Jake
  7. That's great advise, thanks, I'll give it a go and hope the online report goes through as they didn't mention any issues during my in person report this morning. Cheers, Jake
  8. Just a quick report to complete this thread. I went to MTT this morning, arriving just before 9 am with the TM47 form and everything prepared. Not much people there, maybe around 50 total. Waiting time after getting a queue number was just about 10-15 minutes. Total time spent there was less than 20 minutes. However depending on traffic it does take me 1+ hour to get there and the same going back, total taxi cost including expressway was probably close to 1,000 baht. I'd like to get back to online reporting, but I guess it's not possible if I want to use reporting by mail as the documents must be sent before it's possible to do the online reporting. Cheers, Jake
  9. Thanks, at least it's good to know that it's a common issue. I'll go there in person this time. Do you know if there is a way to book an appointment at MTT? The link I've used previously (http://203.151.166.132/immigrant_queue/booking) seems to be dead now, even it's still the one they use in the QR code on the immigration website.
  10. Yes I did go to CW for the extension, they didn't mention 90 days reporting at all. I guess you had more luck.
  11. Thanks, yeah I guess it's too late for mail in this time, but I'll do it next time if the Online reporting isn't working again, it's a lot better option than spending half a day on doing the notification in person.
  12. Hello, My next 90 days reporting is due on the 26th this month. I've been trying since last week to do the reporting online, but I just get the "Please contact your local immigration for details.." popup at the first page. I've been doing online 90 days reporting successfully in the past, i.e. my last few notifications were done online. I did renew my permission to stay last month, so I'm wondering if they reset my 90 days reporting? I did not get a new receipt of notification though. Is it common they'd reset the 90 days notification when applying for extension of permission of stay? Is there any way to check if this is the case? Otherwise I'll have to make a trip to MTT. Thanks, Jake
  13. Just to complete this thread. I went to CW todays (26 oct) to get the 60 days extension. My existing permission of stay didn't expire until the 31st this month, but I didn't want to leave it to the last day in case there was some problem. We arrived around 9:30 had the papers checked and got a queue number. The wait was longer than I've ever experienced before, about 5 hours (including a lunch break) until I got to submit my papers, and after that the processing was a reasonable 30 minutes before I left with a new stamp in my passport. They did warn me that this is a one off 60 days extension, just like Ubon Joe advised. But also told me everything is fine for a 12 months extension when I come back next time. Anyway, thanks to everyone for your advise, it's been most helpful. Cheers, Jake
  14. Thanks that sounds very easy compared to the 12 months extension. I've never done one of these before, but I assume this is a one off kind of thing. Cheers, Jake
  15. Thanks, what are the requirements for a 60 days extension to visit wife? Any paperwork I need to prepare? Is this generally accepted despite I've been living here for many years already together with my wife? Do they require a letter from the embassy for covid extensions? If that's the case then it's not an option for me. Thanks, Jake
  16. Hello, I'm currently on a 12 months permission to stay based on marriage that expires at the end of this month. However, I have made a mistake, I forget to top up my bank account until late last month meaning the 400k+ required for a new 12 months permission of stay will not have been in my account for 2 months by the time I need to apply for a new permission to stay. I've made the same mistake in the past, but back then it was easy, just a quick trip to Penang to get a single entry Non-O. However since that's not an option, I wonder if anyone have suggestions on how to best deal with my problem. Thanks, Jake
