  1. More just a common sense kind of guy..."I've parked my car in an underground garage, which is open to the elements in a place which often floods during heavy rains...maybe I should move it to higher ground during hours of torrential tropical downpours." ????
  2. Pretty stupid to have an underground garage in the tropics...and even more stupid to keep your car parked there during a torrential rainstorm.
  3. The pharmacy just down from my guesthouse has several brands of ATKs for $295 baht a kit.
  4. It would be interesting to know if this is an escapee from a crocodile farm or a true saltwater crocodile ????
  5. Am I missing something...almost everyone is fully vaccinated...a couple hundred daily test positive for virus infection...few, if any, serious illness or death (because of vaccination)...what's the big deal. Isn't this why we all got vaccinated?
  6. Onward and upward...and the island is not even open to anyone but vaccinated people.
  7. Other than the first countrywide lockdowns in early 2020, restaurants in Phuket have been open for dine-in and takeout or delivery.
  8. Another foreigner run real estate investment scam in Thailand...I'm calling "fake news." ????????????????????????
  9. His overstay worries are now over...and no more of those pesky 90 day reports either...the Thai authorities will always know where he is for the next 20-30 years.
  10. Don't really understand the rise in cases...but with most people vaccinated, the serious Covid illnesses and deaths should remain minimal.
  11. We often have daily torrential rains here in Phuket during monsoon season and the beaches dot wash away...funny that. Maybe because the beaches here are natural creations and not fake lipstick on a pig like the ones in Pattaya. The roads don't become impassable rivers either.
  12. Maybe because many already had Covid and were asymptomatic or mild cases and recovered and have natural immunity now.
  13. Yes it would be interesting to see the breakdown in all cause mortality.
  14. Business that have been open all during the pandemic (when not ordered closed during lockdowns) are beginning to fold. I am noticing this in the Chalong area where I'm staying. Businesses can't take much more of these domestic and international travel restrictions.
  15. Is this so hard? Any mouthwash with a defatting or degreasing agent (sodium laureth sulfate) would breakdown the lipoprotein (fatty acid) virus membranes encasing it rendering it harmless. This is why we have been vigorously washing our hands for almost two years.
  16. I think I can solve this for them...she refused or couldn't pay.
  17. I thought I read in one report the island's population is over 70% vaccinated...so why the panic over a few cases...why get vaccinated then?
  18. Why would I care about "mom and pop" stores, with their old stale goods and often high prices, when "Seven" has just about everything I need for daily livng...is clean...restocked daily...open 24/7 (during normal times)...and often has cute friendly cashiers? So to answer your question: I don't.
  19. The mayor's family owns a sand company, a landscaping company, a wholesale nursery company, a cement and pavers company, and a general contracting company.
