Can you be more specific? Are you against lessoning restrictions on private pensions to invest in government priorities, such as housing? Or perhaps you'd like to return to an era when there is more government control over banks? And did you even read that article? It states "Everything appeared to work fine as long as accommodative monetary policy and capital inflows from developing countries continued to fuel the upward float of housing prices. Home ownership grew to 69% in 2006 from 64% in 1993, but when monetary policy tightened the housing bubble broke and the mortgage-default rate soared." "When monetary policy tightened" was under your guy.

Give me a break. Bush, your R, had 8 years to change the policy. It was his guy at the Fed (appointed by Reagan) and his guy at Treasury. And Rs meanwhile had the House and Senate for four of those years.

"Harris wants another housing bubble." That's your great analysis and contribution here. No wonder your guy is getting killed now - a lot of his supporters are incoherent or happy to argue in bad faith. We need a better politics than the poison you're pushing.

Not sure what NIMBA is (do you mean NIMBY?) But either way this doesn't really sound like a good faith reply. Do you agree more housing is needed? Let's start with the basics before you mess yourself.

With all due respect, the last housing bubble was under George W Busg, an R, and the resulting crash had to be cleaned up by Obama. Or don't you remember the sordid sight of John McCain rushing home from campaigning to deal with the financial chaos. Did you look at that chart?

Are you against new market rate housing too? Wow, that's a surprise. But then again your guy is a slum lord, so it makes sense.

Support the construction of 3 million new homes to increase access to affordable housing for working class and middle income families.

What does this have to do with the Governor of Minnesota? If you don't know how state level governance in the US works you may want to sit this thread out.

hard to see how pro-family policies like family leave and meals for kids at school that need it are "mass murder." I mean, someone is an extremist here, for sure.

Not sure where you're getting this from. I lived in San Francisco all the years she was DA there. She has African and Indian heritage, went to a black college. Dated black guys (among others). Why is this so hard to understand?

Free cannabis samples for a select few forum posters!

Not enough posts yet. But I do want it. -
That's not quite right. If I remember correctly the letter merely asks that Thai Immigration pleade recognize that its holder has a new passport and to please assist in transferring needed credentials and visas from the old passport to the new. It doesn't say "you need to get your visa transferred."

Fungal Infection-Medication doesn't seem to work.
RubenRemus replied to khaepmu's topic in Health and Medicine
Gotta apply it for a long time, if I recall correctly. I'm taking Canasone now for a fungus and the doctor said to keep at it for a month -- well beyond when it no longer seems to be visibly needed.... -
Plus 1 on Dr Niyom at Bumrungrad. He was very quick and thorough with the cold gun but it wasn't cheap. Maybe THB 5k-6k for about 10 minutes of his time and gun action? It'd like to find a cheaper option TBH.

A perspective (or a post mortem) on the covid lockdowns
RubenRemus replied to HerewardtheWake's topic in Health and Medicine
This article is ridiculous. If you want to know what actually happened in Sweden, you can start here: https://indianexpress.com/article/explained/explained-global/sweden-covid-strategy-cases-deaths-explained-8087693/ -
