  1. Gotta love the expression on the visitors faces ????
  2. The bizarre thing is, having driven in southern Thailand for many years, hogging the right hand lane seems the norm anyway. Especially pick up drivers carrying local produce, they never use the left lane. I think it has something to do with the surface quality in places where heavy trucks using the left lanes can leave pot holes. The gun toting hot head needs punishing for complete OTT reaction.
  3. It is new since last year as the Russians now have a war criminal as a leader, with an arrest warrant on his head, and continue to wreck havoc in a neighboring European country. Saying it's nothing new is trivializing the suffering of the Ukrainians and all the surrounding countries subjected to a deluge in refugees.
  4. Talk about what?
  5. According to Khaosod they were "using his colleagues to sing his favorite songs through a megaphone," !
  6. That is wrong. It was Sai Mai as I was there within about 250m in an adjoining gated community, luckily with high boundary walls, and could hear it all. Heck of a lot of gun fire going off around 12:15pm today then it was all over. Surprised the culprit was only injured with all the shots going off, he had been causing a nuisance firing his gun off over 24 hours. Good to see they took care of him though as obvious mental health issues and needs help, no one seriously hurt by all accounts.
  7. Yes, but the airline check in staff have no guidelines written down specifically saying allow "staying for two months then doing a road trip through Cambodia onto Vietnam" passengers, so they stick to the simple rule of needing an onward flight if arriving visa exempt. Follow that rule and it won't be hit or miss when checking in.
  8. Have you tried hot-spotting off a phone connected to a mobile service provider? Usually a lot more reliable and private than relying on apartment internet connections.
  9. If you aren't sure, I feel sorry for you. Take a long look in the mirror.
  10. No surprises for a story of prostitution in Thailand the lead photo is of Amsterdam eh?
  11. Agreed. There are smart charging apps available these days, so anyone who wants to use power pays for it.
  12. OK, my apologies, I was interpreting as another attempt to derail a thread for others who prefer not to use agents and get answers to the op.
  13. That looks one dumb arsed place to park tons of steel for a nap by the truck driver, and why the heck is the company allowing him to work when tired? (#rhetorical)
  14. One can use an agent for anything in life. What's your point?
  15. Didn't that Tim at TNT news about Phuket always say that building a business based on a refugee crisis is not sustainable? There again sustainable is anathema for most of these bucket shop businesses.
  16. Doubt it. Current forecast is for next three rate increases of 25 points to a max 5.5% then we wait. https://www.cmegroup.com/markets/interest-rates/cme-fedwatch-tool.html?redirect=/trading/interest-rates/countdown-to-fomc.html
  17. You don't perhaps have an inkling that the country that has created the greatest humanitarian crisis in Europe since WW2 might be impacted somewhat itself on it's own soil?
  18. How out of touch with reality. The UN just voted massively against the invasion. It is nothing to do with being a European issue, it's a right vs wrong issue. Being neutral is not an option and is the same as being wrong.
  19. It won't be 'western' aid per se. https://www.cnbc.com/2023/02/18/unthinkable-that-russia-does-not-pay-for-ukraines-reconstruction-eu-chief-says.html
  20. They don't call that person "Geng" for nothing.
  21. So democracy didn't work but its OK to rape and pillage your neighbor?
  22. The guy in the lead photo is going to need a much longer telephoto lens to see where these funds are going.
  23. Perhaps there is something in the drink, and its not a national trait? Just saying.
