Because The Royal Gazette officially published the new entry program we have started to ask the AQ hotels to publish 1 Day AQ rates.
You can view them here:
1 Day Test & Go Packages - Bangkok
1 Day Test & Go Packages - Pattaya7 Day Sandbox Packages - Bangkok
7 Day Sandbox Packages - Pattaya
We expect hotels to publish their rates in the next few days.
While the rates are being published we are still waiting for the new Thailand Pass to come online at:
https://tp.consular.go.th/-

We hear that the actual Thailand Pass website may be the following url:
https://tp.consular.go.th
Hard to know how we will proceed without the exact process in place. -

Basically ignore anything from Thai tourism, take note of announcements from health, immigration, foreign affairs etc.
This announcement is not from the TAT its from the MFA, and Government PR team.
Details around Thailand Pass /COE are still lacking.-

Note the details "Stayin hotel one night ....or until negative result is received.." And what if they take more than one night, two, three four? It is not withing your control. And of course what if a positive result...
AQ hotels in the past do allow extension of stay at a lower cost rate, and SHA+ hotels of course allow this.
From what we understand nothing changes if you are tested positive, you would have to go to the hospital (this is why the insurance is required). -
We are working on getting 1 Night AQ pricing, and will keep everyone informed.
You can follow our line account HERE for the AQ.in.th entry updates / notices. -

you can't work with too many insurers then, because I've contacted EVERY Thai authorised health insurance company today and only 2 had any knowledge of these alleged changes ( and AXA was not one of them), and 1 will not take on new clients 70 or older and the other has no premiums posted on their web site even though they have already updated their site to show 3 million as the minimum cover for O-A.
We got this notice on October 8th from Luma, and others. So they were aware of upcoming changes, and are modifying existing packages which did not meet these requirements.

3 Million Baht for Inpatient Coverage. $100,000 USD for Covid 19 Coverage? Coincidence? $100,000 USD now converts to just slightly over 3 Million Baht.
We were informed of this change by some of the insurers we work with weeks ago.
Currently the AXA, and TUNE policies (not the covid-only tune policy) should also cover the visa requirements for OA/STV.
You can see a comparison here: https://asq.in.th/thailand-covid-insurance (select a term greater than 89 days, and you will see OA/STV compatible policy pricing).-

This refers just to the COVID insurance which is nothing new.
It does nto say anything about any new O-A visa specific requirement.
As we mentioned before this change happened on October 1st, but is just hitting the news now.
The only change has been that the OA insurance must also cover 100,000 USD covid coverage as well when applying outside of Thailand.
This applies for STV, and OA retirement visas only.
You can see a comparison here for policies on the Thailand Covid Insurance Comparison tool.
AXA, TUNE, and TGIA are all valid. -
The official list is supposed to be announced by Wednesday.
So don't make any assumptions, and just wait for the final list.-

Has anybody recently been through the COE process , giving the details for 1 night stay and one paid for PCR test, arriving after the 1st of November and been approved. I have a friend and they have booked a flight on the 3rd November and are concerned about 7 days quarantine through the COE process. My concern is I did the sand box for 14 days after day 3 this was converted to 7 days ... I could not leave the hotels early and still had to go through 3 PCR tests, whereas people 3 days later than could leave in 7 and get a PCR refund on one of the tests... any views, thought , comments
Their COE will not be approved as nothing related to "no-quarantine" entry has been finalized yet.
Our advice would be to delay your trip until this program has been fully fleshed out to avoid any issues, or go through the existing entry options.-

COE works fine, the issue is just bad design.
Must click the little upload icon ????.
Lets hope the Thailand Pass system does not operate like this.-

He is asking about the insurance for a OA visa application.
We were informed by an insurer that these requirements changed on October 1st.
This could mean the standard 100,000 USD covid policy that TGIA offers also meets the O-A visa requirements.

One thing to note is that the AXA, and TuneProtect policies now actually meet the requirements for OA/STV visas.
We were informed by the insurer directly that this changed on October 1st.
If anyone has a link to any official announcement it would be helpful.

TGIA is our recommended option for those over 75, and need to meet the entry requirements.

Edit: The policies above only cover you up to the age of 75. Here's a link to a company that accepts people up to the age of 99:
Thanks for the advice, we have added the TGIA policy to the tool as well for those over 75 years of age.

I had the team put priority on the departure country pricing logic for the insurance comparison.
You should now be able to change the country.
Please try it here:

We hope it is useful.-

Careful using this tool as the prices are only relevant to people coming from the USA, so not applicable to leaving Australia (which is much cheaper than from USA)
It states: "Example prices are based on an USA traveller, travelling from the USA"
We are working on adding country support, currently this only impacts AXA estimates.
For AXA the USA is marked in the mid level bracket (so prices may actually be less, and in rare cases they would be more). -

This insurer is the main option if you are 75+ years old.
It also can be well priced if you are departing from certain countries.
But for example if you are coming from the US they want 4,800 THB for 30 days (300%), compared to coming from Singapore!
You can use this tool here for a quick comparison for the other insurers: https://asq.in.th/thailand-covid-insurance-

I think for some reason this hotel does not wish to publish 14 night pricing.
We have reached out to them as we require 14 night pricing.
Our expectation is that the borders will start to allow entry, and they will have to do 14 day AQ. However it could be possible that not all AQ's have to accept this type of entry, and maybe the designate new AQ's closer to the borders. Very little is known. -

Only 9 in Pattaya area. Are you expecting more?
Yes, there should be around 20, unfortunately they have been quite slow updating their new package rates.
Hopefully by next week they submit their new rates.-

Update regarding 7/10 day.
The changes are already officially announced in the Royal Gazette!
We also had over 70% of AQ's complete their 7/10 day pricing (as well as family pricing, and thai citizen discounts); You can see the current Bangkok list of 7/10 DAY AQ Packages.
Hopefully by next week we have full coverage of the new pricing.-

Emirates is actually the best option as it also covering the scenario if someone on your flight next to you tests positive when coming into the Phuket sandbox.
But if you are not flying emirates, and are looking for a general comparison of the most popular insurers you can use this Thailand Covid Insurance page.-

The advisable maximum is 20 days before arrival.
1 Night AQ Pricing for "Quarantine Free Entry"
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
We have notified that hotel, as the test should be included in the price ;).
But I'm sure they will reconfirm this upon booking request.
Please bear with the hotels, as some may be more informed than others ????
