Someone told me that you need the passport sent by post and you do not apply at Pattaya immigration but Bkk, is it true ?
It would depend on the situation, but all passports must first reach our offices which are located in Bangkok.
We sometimes can take requests to submission at specific immigrations but you will need to confirm your situation with our staff.-

As far as I know the agent's quote of 3100 baht is gossip, someone called the agent and got a real quote of 9000 baht!
We charge less than that, but we would need to know your full situation.
If you want to know exact rates for your situation it's just a few LINE messages away.-

In your situation it would still be possible to get a yearly marriage extension.
If you need assistance with this please contact my staff via LINE.

I used to get a visa based on marriage to a Thai, which meant a trip to Savannaket then 90 day border runs which would give me up to 15 months. Is their any alternative while the borders are now closed? Or do I have to pay about 16.000 baht for retirement extensions?
For your situation if you are retirement age we would advise that you switch to yearly retirement visa (unless you wish to work).15 hours ago, eppic said:Probably worth it to avoid the headaches at Immigration, but when you say "tourist visa" do you also mean visa exempt entry? Or specifically tourist visa?
As long as the last visa is NOT a non-immigrant visa/yearly extension we assist with the 60 day extensions which previously required embassy letter support.
If the last visa is a non-immigrant visa/yearly extension then we would advise more long term solutions.-

Yes you would be paying 2,500 THB in overstay fines, as well as the 1,900 THB application fee (total 4,400 THB).
It would make little sense to keep letting your overstay days add up if you know you will already be staying here longer than the 5th.
If you are applying for the 60 day visa extension, we actually charge 3,500 THB (includes government fees) for this service (overstay fines not included). But if you are in the Bangkok area we may also be able to pickup your passport for you to avoid additional hassle. -
We are now offering expedited full-service 60 day visa extensions now.
We charge 3,500 THB for this service (it includes the government fees as well).
Our only requirement is that your last visa was a tourist visa, and you must pay the overstay fines if amnesty is not extended.

Thailand does not need to reciprocate visa entry to the UK travelers just because people can fly to the UK from Thailand.
If your country is low risk it will be easier to travel to other countries. Some people don't understand...

Any discount for the 15 month volunteer visa considering it's not really necessary anymore? Your standard prices seem a bit much considering it looks like we'll be able to apply for rolling 60-day extensions.
If you qualify for the rolling extensions we advise to do so.
We have not read anything that says you may keep on doing them over again based on a visa that has already been extended upon.
Our prices go back down to what they used to be 3 weeks ago (as we do not have to rush cases for the next two weeks).
-
It now appears to be officially extended!
So if anyone is currently under amnesty, and wishes to convert to a long term visa through an agent please reach out to me, or my staff.

Why?
Lots of info in the news now. It only needs approval by the cabinet tomorrow.
Latest article is here.
https://forum.thaivisa.com/topic/1184833-thailand-extends-grace-period-for-stranded-foreigners/
It has a lot of coverage stemming from the initial unsigned letter, with no new information.
We assumed they would have pushed this through during the weekend.
I'm not saying it's impossible, but the only thing we have read is a lot of speculation.
Did they say this topic would actually be talked about during the meeting tomorrow?-

Highly likely.
I would like to amend my previous comment as it is now the end of Monday.
It seems a lot less likely that any additional amnesty extension will take place by now, but who knows.

What an utterly ignorant and obnoxious post!
And fyi > the 'wasted' 1.900 THB is only tip-of-the-iceberg.
If the Amnesty is extended till October 31 and you made the effort to apply for the Embassy Letter supported 'special' extension, you would:
- have wasted quite some time/effort on getting that now unneeded extension;
- have to return to IO to get the 'under consideration' stamp changed into a valid - but once again needless - stamp (yes, once again time and effort wasted);- possibly have problems for future Embassy letter extensions as some embassies/IOs have stated they will only issue/handle such special extension ONCE.
Note:
And if you planned to use that special extension as a spring-board for a 90-day Non Imm O Visa application, the 'under consideration period' will make that impossible, as you would get the actual (further useless) extension stamp too late to apply for that Non Imm O Visa (which requires at least 15 days left on your permission to stay when applying).
This already happened last time the first amnesty was announced, and at the time people were applying for a 30 day covid extension.
So yes everyone will still be required to "close" the under consideration stamp if their intention was to stay past that date.
We have seen a few individuals go back to get their "meet in person" dates moved up so that they would have enough days to apply for a non-immigrant visa.-

Is this also the case for someone who got an under consideration stamp with embassy letter?
Must close the stamp first.
We have heard a few people go back, and get the meet in person date moved up so they have enough time left to apply for a non-immigrant visa.-

If approved on Monday this would be great news for many.
It would allow agents to help them move onto long term visas directly again, and not have to charge rush fees.If this does get approved this time around I advise starting early!
In response to the OP's question: If you plan on staying in Thailand you will have to close your under consideration stamp (EVEN IF AMNESTY IS EXTENDED).

If amnesty is extended until October 31st we will be able to assist with long term visas for those who were last holding a Tourist/VOA/Exempt visa.

These 12 month visa's... is a border bounce required every 90 days ?
would suck to be not let back in due to WuFlu !!
The 1 year volunteer visa does not require 90 day border bounces, it would only require you to do 90 day reporting (which some agents can assist you with as well).

To the OP
That price is on the high-end of the spectrum if your last visa was a non-immigrant / yearly extension.
Make sure not to do the 30 day extension, and attempt to do the 1 year directly.

But the more information I have up to that point, the better it is.
Can I even do a 90 day report outside of my "home province"?
No, which is why you needed to do the TM30 first.
But most agents can help you with both.
All agents are the busiest they have ever been, as too many people have waited until the last minute to sort out their situations.
At least you have a visa, and they only thing you are worrying about is a small fine (which is probably why the agent is not prioritizing you).-

He states he has already. But the person won't return his call.
The maximum fine for late reporting is 2,000 THB.
It is possible that his agent is just simply too busy, and the officers he is approaching are understandably not in the best mood during this week.
Maybe try showing up at his office instead.-

Contact the agent you used to obtain your visa.
They should be able to help you, and should have been your first point of contact.-

We currently do not know if we will be able to apply for 60 day visa extensions in December, we will have to wait until then to know.
If you wish switch to a longer term visa make sure you have 20 days left in order to do that with us.
Please confirm with our staff via LINE/EMAIL, we may also be able to do another 90 day extension.
