  1. True enough. I just need the company of people. That's why I can't be one of those guys that have the revolving door of women, I did it for a few years but in the end I needed a deeper connection than what I could get out of my rented girls.
  2. What was your near death experience?
  3. I've always had the impression that you're a younger sort of guy? But this post makes it sound like you're at death's door. Funny how social media conveys sometimes very inaccurate impressions. Do you have any kids? This would be a fear of mine also, to be the last man standing and have no family or friends left. A lonely death.
  4. That's interesting, how old are you?
  5. This headline is contradictory. In one breath, he says forget about herd immunity.... “Forget about herd immunity because it will not work with COVID-19.” In the next breath, he says.... "...when the majority of people in a country have developed immunity"......"the minority who have not been vaccinated or who have not been infected by the disease will be protected from the infection" The link explains it a bit better, but his point still remains weak as water. This is not a good piece of journalism.
  6. No it won't, that's unnecessarily pessimistic, although probably an understandable statement given how everyone is feeling right now. But, we can learn from history. And history from after the 1918-20 Spanish flu epidemic shows that everything rebounded quickly and came back stronger than before.
  7. Interesting. That was the late eighties. Are you still with that same lady from more than 30 years ago?
  8. Ridiculous. Who wants to go anywhere where we can't see naked dancing girls and then bar fine one out after a few beers?. That's the whole reason we went to Thailand in the first place.
  9. This is encouraging, to see an 86 yr old going to Thailand! Just shows me there's still at least 25 years of life left in me yet! Guy must've been stud when he was a young 'un if he's still chasing them at 86!
  10. Boring video made pointless due to repetitive content, I saw the same people several times. And people are starving, yet still the Beach Rd girls are getting fatter year by year ???? There must be some kind of inverse reaction at play here as it's weird that a large proportion of poor people are so overweight.
  11. That's a decent workout! Do you do all 8 of those exercises on each of the 3 days? I'm lucky to get through the first 3 in one session and feel quite exhausted after. But I do have quite a long rest period between them, the squats in particular, and this seems to lengthen the time for the top 3 exercises to about an hour each session. I do 4 sets for each.
  12. I'm sorry to hear that about your son, that must've been terrible for you. I have a 33 yr old son. You're absolutely right, I need to make a will.
  13. Morbid subject. I hope to have about 25-30 years left in me before I need to confront this issue at a personal level.
  14. Blatant and massive corruption on show for all to see. No attempt made to cover it up as he and others of his ilk know they are untouchable. Sometimes I feel sorry for the people in these corrupt countries, but at the same time I understand they have to stand up and fight for change. That means the spilling of blood and loss of loved ones for the greater cause. That's what western countries have had to do to.
  15. This is where the old glory hole in the wall sex would come in very handy. They can establish a new type of venue to cater for such practice and then, for more reality & excitement, swap out the old timber wall type partition and replace with a perspex screen.
  16. You misunderstood. Compound type exercises give you a cardio workout at the same time as a strength workout.
  17. It really depends on what type of weightlifting you're doing. The isolation exercises used by bodybuilders to target smaller muscles do not generally elevate your heart rate. The compound type whole body exercises do. Try throwing 4 x 20kg plates on a barbell and doing 4 sets of 8 rep deep squats. Then throw 6 x 20 kg plates on the bar and do the same sets of deadlifts straight after. Finish off with 100kg bench press to failure (in my case, unfortunately it's not many) Do all this within a 1hr slot. You'll soon see just how elevated heart rate one's heart rate can get. This kind of compound training hits your cardiac and CNS systems at the same time. Testosterone production is increased. Your core is strengthened. Balance is improved. Bone density is improved. Muscle loss is reversed. In my early sixties, I look and feel good when I walk out of the gym after this session 3 times a week. So yes, I do think I will live longer than if I was sitting on the couch drinking beer, eating potato chips and watching Animal Kingdom on Netflix.
