Trump Criticizes Biden's Stance on Israeli Weapons
placeholder replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I guess you believe that it's arrogant and belittling for the US to tell Ukraine what it needs, too? Maybe American should just offer its allies a budget number and let them go shopping in its arsenal? As for the IDF knows what it's doing. Really? Hamas is returning to power in northern Gaza, IDF colonel says IDF Col. Hezi Nachman said that there are hundreds of thousands of people in northern Gaza and Hamas rule of the area is returning. Hamas is returning to power in northern Gaza, IDF Col. (res.) Hezi Nachman said in an interview with 103FM Tuesday morning, adding that the Israeli military isn't doing enough to stop it. Speaking to Ben Caspit and Yinon Magal, Nachman, the former head of the Menashe Brigade, was discussing a letter to the war cabinet he and several other IDF commanders signed calling on Gazans not to be allowed to return home in the North until the hostages come home. https://www.jpost.com/israel-hamas-war/article-786771 Wasting troops’ hard-fought gains, Israel is taking time it doesn’t have in Gaza Seven months after it carried out the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, Hamas is still very much alive and kicking. It has reportedly reasserted significant civil control in Gaza cities troops swept through and then left. In some areas, Hamas fighters have resumed their rocket fire, including a recent attack on Sderot and the deadly strike on Israel Defense Forces infantrymen near Kerem Shalom on Sunday. Not only is Hamas surviving, it looks increasingly plucky about its chances to guarantee its return to power .https://www.timesofisrael.com/wasting-troops-hard-fought-gains-israel-is-taking-time-it-doesnt-have-in-gaza/ -

I see you still have no defense for your ridiculous claim that the US is not helping Israel. The Pentagon is a huge organization. What do recruitment and morale issues have to do with analyses of the situation in Gaza. You're just desperately throwing stuff at the wall and hoping something sticks. -

I just offered an example that is a demonstration of analytic thinking. It dismantled the claim that because educated people had signed onto this document, that somehow supported its validity. -

"What is a "climatologist" exactly? Is it someone funded by the green industry who feeds phoney data into made up algorithms?" More conspiracy claims from you. Who care how highly educated some of the people on that list are? If you had a health problem, would you go to a geologist for treatment? In your world, apparently, there is no such thing as expertise. -

This is a valid defense of your claim that Biden has stopped helping Israel. He's just not giving them everything they want. And you pile on the nonsense by citing his lack of military experience. I guess you believe that the Pentagon has no role to play in advising the President. -

False. Just another echo of that old Zionist dishonest slogan: "A land without people for a people without land." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographic_history_of_Palestine_(region)#CITEREFMcCarthy1990 -

More nonsense from you. Biden has not stopped helping Israel militarily. He's just not giving them everything they want. -

Clearly even the US government has now determined that this is not the case. Israel's use of massive bombs in areas filled with civilians is proof enough of that. During the first six weeks of the war in Gaza, Israel routinely used one of its biggest and most destructive bombs in areas it designated safe for civilians, according to an analysis of visual evidence by The New York Times. https://archive.ph/Am6er Another proof of Israell's disgraceful conduct is its hindering the transport of food and other necessities to civilians. One particularly grimly nasty instance of that recenly occurred when Israel claimed that police escorts for supply trucks weren't showing up. It turned out they weren't showing up is because Israel was killing them when they did. Here's another instance: Dying for a bag of flour: Videos and eyewitness accounts cast doubt on Israel’s timeline of deadly Gaza aid delivery https://edition.cnn.com/2024/04/09/middleeast/gaza-food-aid-convoy-deaths-eyewitness-intl-investigation-cmd/index.html -

First off, Israel helped to keep Hamas in power. Second, by your abysmal standards, any tactic that Israel adopts, no matter how brutal, is justified. To your way of thinking, the Hamas attack gives Israel carte blanche. -

Once again, rather than address the facts, you try to slur the source. The facts are clear, Not only are very very few of the signatories not climatologists, but a large number of them aren't even scientists. Once again, you've got nothing. -
Underlying psychological traits could explain why political satire tends to be liberal The need for cognition — a psychological term used to describe the enjoyment of thinking and analyzing problems — could help explain the differences in humor appreciation between liberals and conservatives. According to new research in Psychology of Popular Media Culture, political conservatives tend to score lower on a measure of need for cognition, which is related to their lack of appreciation for irony and exaggeration. “Having studied the content, effects, and psychological processing of political humor and satire for 20 years, I could never escape the question of why political satire tends to be liberal,” said study author Dannagal G. Young, an associate professor at the University of Delaware and author of the forthcoming book Irony and Outrage: The Polarized Landscape of Rage, Fear, and Laughter in the United States. https://www.psypost.org/underlying-psychological-traits-could-explain-why-political-satire-tends-to-be-liberal/

Here's a rare piece of journalism about what it's actually like for refugees living in Rafah. It's based on an interview with Scott Anderson, deputy head of the UNRWA. Among other things Anderson points out that Al Mawasi, the area it has designated for Rafah refugees to decamp to, is barren of any kind of infrastructure. "It is a crappy place. It’s like trying to set up a city on a beach. There’s no infrastructure, there’s no sewage, there’s no water. None of those things exist, and there’s already 450,000 people in that general area. It is crowded." https://www.politico.com/news/2024/05/08/israel-rafah-scott-anderson-unrwa-00156924 There's a lot more in the article which will probably go unread by the apologists for the way Israel has waged war in Gaza.

Once again, you get it wrong. This time you fell for a fake. (At the time this article was published the total number of signatories was 1609) Climate list claim melts away under closer inspection PolitiFact FL: Not all 1.6K signatories of declaration against climate change were scientists The updated version with 1,609 signatories, published Aug. 14, marked 12 people as deceased. Among the scientists, specialties included geology, chemistry, physics and agriculture. Those with climate expertise were few. The list included engineers, doctors, lawyers, mathematicians, architects, entrepreneurs, and economists. Others did not list any occupation at all. Some descriptions read: "Sceptical (sic) Scientific Contrarian in the Climate Debate" "Leadership development and coaching" "Physicist and YouTuber" "Sculptor, designer and innovator" https://www.wusf.org/environment/2023-10-11/politifact-fl-not-all-1-6k-signatories-declaration-against-climate-change-scientists WHAT WAS CLAIMED 1609 scientists have signed a declaration stating there is no climate emergency. OUR VERDICT False. The list of signatories includes lawyers, teachers, IT workers and relatively few climate scientists. https://www.aap.com.au/factcheck/climate-list-claim-melts-away-under-closer-inspection/ -
Thanks for the correction. But that still doesn't mean that you got it right. What you're referring to is a record breaking day or days. This article is about record breaking average temperatures for the month. Also, the days of the month you cited occurred later in May. Who knows, a record breaking day may yet be to come.

I guess I'll take the small chance.

Thanks for the reply. I was worried that any guarantees on the phone would be voided. Given that the phone is already over a year old, maybe there aren't any guarantees to worry about?

Do I really have to explain to you that the point of the comment was to make clear the hypocrisy Israel's gung-ho supporters who blame the Palestinian civilians for supporting Hamas and maintain that the Palestinians have no one but themselves to blame for their suffering? If anything is disgusting, it's that.
