  1. Here's some good news for the EU and bad news for Russia. In landmark deal signed in Cairo, Israel to export natural gas, via Egypt, to Europe Israel, Egypt and the European Union signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday in Cairo that will see Israel export its natural gas to the bloc for the first time. The landmark agreement will increase liquified natural gas sales to EU countries, which are aiming to reduce dependence on supply from Russia in the wake of its invasion of Ukraine. https://www.timesofisrael.com/israel-eu-egypt-agree-deal-to-export-natural-gas-to-europe/ The article is deficient in one major respect: it doesn't say how much gas will be shipped and how much that will reduce EU dependence on Russia.
  2. False. The 1 Billion was an additional amount available from a fund of 11 billion that Biden can use at his discretion. Here's the breakdown for direct defense related funds "The package includes almost $15 billion for defense operations and maintenance, which includes $6 billion for the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative and $8.7 billion to replenish stocks of U.S. equipment sent to Ukraine. The legislation authorizes up to a further $11 billion in Presidential Drawdown Authority, which allows the president to authorize the transfer of articles and services from U.S. stocks without congressional approval in response to an emergency." https://www.reuters.com/world/big-items-washingtons-40-billion-ukraine-aid-package-2022-05-19/
  3. For one thing most of their artillery takes shells that conform to Russian specs and they can't get any more shells. For another, it takes time to train troops to use the new artillery.
  4. No. Mueller was constrained by Justice Dept policy that a sitting President can't be prosecuted. Mueller did make it very clear that the avenue open to investigating Trump was impeachment.
  5. For one thing, the Justice Dept policy is that a sitting president can't be indicted for a crime. For another, his partners in crime can assert that they are protected by executive privilege and can't be compelled to cooperate with investigators.
  6. How many years did it take for John Durham to come up with a prosecution that his team developed?
  7. Even if none of it had gone into Trump's pockets, which is not the case, it's not fraudulent to solicit donations for a non-existent organization and then distribute the money elsewhere?
  8. So what was the point of this comment of yours? "Every FBI agent does not make claims that the white supremacy is a big problem, that would be the elitists running the department."
  9. Nights are warming faster than days. Here’s what that means for the planet. https://www.popsci.com/story/environment/warming-nighttime-temperatures-climate/
  10. Have you actually read the Constitution vis a vis the electoral votes? There is nothing in the Constitution that says Congress is supposed to decide on the validity of the electoral votes. The Constitution specifically designates that electoral votes are to be counted and certified at the state level. And Pence is operating under a law passed by Congress that designates him to preside over and certify the electoral vote count. That's it. Nothing at all in there about him judging electoral vote validity. How many times does this have to be litigated before Trumpistas can accept this? The only contingency the Constitution provides for having the vote decided by the House is in the case where no candidate receives a majority of the electoral votes. In that case one of the 3 front runners are to be selected by a majority vote of the state delegations.
  11. Really? https://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=USD&to=THB&view=5Y
  12. According to the article some of the money went to the Trump Hotel Collection. And of course, how is claiming that money is going to the Official Election Defense Fund, when there was and is no such entity, not fraudulent?
  13. What evidence do you have that the rank and file share one opinion? And what don't you understand about the fact that it wasn't some vague "leadership" that came to this conclusion but a team of investigators? Most of the FBI wouldn't even be engaged in this particular line of investigation. So why would their opinion even be of any special interest any more than the rank-and-file's opinion on the conclusions of the departments that investigate wire fraud or human trafficking?
  14. It did not find evidence of Trump having personally colluded. However, as the Mueller report concluded, there was plenty of evidence of obstruction of justice on his part. Trump actually pardoned those who might have been able to provide evidence of his collusion. What a sleazy character he is.
  15. Well, you did manage here to avoid the issue of Trump's firm grip on unreality.
  16. Not only is it a valid legal defense but is should be Trump's campaign theme: Join Me in Denying Reality. Just to make explicit what's been implicit all along.
  17. It's a pity you weren't in a position to tell Putin that before he launched the war.
  18. Why do you think making predictions has value as evidence? We've been hearing about the collapse of fiat currency and the rise of gold ever since the US got off the gold standard. Which, while technically this occurred during the Nixon administration, it actually began with in the 1930's under FDR. At this point, this kind of fearmongering seems to differ little from that of certain zealots warning that the return of Jesus is just around the corner. And I don't understand what your suspicions are about CBDC. You think money has to be in the form of metal or paper?
  19. I'm not sure what you think that proves. As I pointed out, the shadowstats data clearly proved the accuracy of the BLS figures to a very high degree.
  20. As long as debts are paid back what's the problem? And most of the time they are. Occasionally they're not and them some people take a financial haircut. Occasionally there may even be a depression and millions, even billions of people may be affected. But even a depression does not mean the collapse of civilization or the currency. In fact, during depression, the purchasing power of the fiat dollar can even increase.
  21. What's truly amazing about Kwasaki's claims is that these alleged reports never seem to get published on the news sources' websites. Odd, no?
  22. Not true. Inflation has been extraordinarily low for many years. The real GDP was growing nicely until covid came along But GDP growth has recovered.
