So does this mean that people who have been released from quaratine can have a relapse and infect the general popluation ?
It appears the only real hope is a vaccine .
Yes they can. And a vaccine wont protect for the 100% either. So the conclusion is that we have to live with it.

They can introduce what ever they want. But for me it seems useless if there will be no tourist.

in about 6 months im sure we will here the sounds of TAT..........We love the farang.

Mask wont protect, the up comming vaccin will not completely protect. No matter were you are, you have to deal with the fact that corona is here and will stay. From that point of view i think that the western world is sooner trough the worst and Thailand will be at the beginning of dealing with this virus or keep their borders shut and destroy their economy completely. The whole world have to go trough the sour part and people will die. Accept it. All the opinions and all the numbers wont change this simple fact.

Its the "i can not be blamed" strategy. Approve a package that you know it wont bring in any, possible positive tested, people but you can still say that you opened the borders for tourism and in the mean time have the covid situation under control. Uber "i still got my face" wizards.

It is exactly this sort of attitude that isn't helping. Images and horrors of Europe, really? The statistics are very bad, people are dying, not as many as before, but my first thought of the horrors of Europe is the holocaust, I haven't seen those images. I never once saw fear in people's eyes during the first lockdown here and I'm thankful that they have handled phase 1 so well. But they do need to have an intelligent well thought out plan to reopen, including whatever safeguards they can. People exacerbating the fear for here are making the recovery worse here and in every country where there has been a good handle on managing the virus. IMO.

It is a hard time for businesses but putting money before peoples lives is not the answer, until covid is totally under control around the world travel bans need to be enforced and the govt needs to help effected businesses/people more than they are, buying subs etc when the country is desperate is not good govt policy.
My friend, That wont happen. The virus will always be there. And you can not expect from any govt to support perpetual. The only way is to learn to deal with it. Maybe with some help from a vaccine. But even then, it wont disappear completely.

Will they also have a check where the money is comming from? Or is that, in this case, less important?
Just a thought that pops up.

Maybe they will understand at some point in time that you have to earn credibility.

Just thought it would be interesting to look at the facts.

Great idea. Warn of this specific hotel and how you may go to jail for writing bad reviews about them. Let’s see how many people wanna go somewhere where you (the customer) has to be careful and be on your best behavior.
Som. Num. Na.
Its not only a hotel people will avoid. Im afraid that a lot of people will avoid the whole of Thailand. Even in Europe people start to talk about Thailand. And not in the good way. So sad to see that Thailand is killing itself and sell their soul to the (chinese) devil.

Sorry, herd immunity is an impossibility unless you are OK with millions of deaths. Luckily, world leaders aren't OK with that.
Infection Fatality Rate (IFR) = Deaths / Cases = 23,430 / 1,694,781 = 1.4% (1.4% of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have a fatal outcome, while 98.6% recover). When you change the policy of handeling this virus and protect the elderly until there is a vaccin, the rest of the world can continue their normal lives again.

Herd immunity has already been dis-proven. Look at Sweden. Didn't work.
Not True. I does work. The only mistake the swedish gouvernment made was at the beginning by not protecting the elderly. They also admit that. If you look at the stats of many other countries they all have a second spike in death numbers. But not in Sweden.

Who cares. This is a big deal. Probably got it from migrant workers crossing over from Burma illegally.
Sadly, seems we can't let our guard down just yet.
Which you will never can. Even a vaccine will not keep you completely safe. Quess we have to deal with this virus and pick up the normal life asap. You can stay in a lock down forever but that wont make the virus disappear. The only way to deal with it is to let it go arround and build up immunity. There is no other way im afraid.

Thank you Khun Prayut Chan O Cha and the government, obviously it gives them more management capabilities that assist with keeping COVID19 out of Thailand while allowing folks to go about their daily routine.
If it helps to keep folks safe then it is a good thing.
Safe is the question. Poor and devastated for sure.

And my daughter and her husband are both surgeon. From a large group of surgeons a letter was send to the government that lock downs were logic but absolutely not helpful. Expending facilities is something the focus have to be on. As i mentioned before, lock down wont help. It will just extend the problem. And its said to see that some people always have to get personal when they dont agree with some one.
Stick to the topic.

And this is why lock downs are about the worst option you can take. With lock downs it will be a slow and devastating proces. Open up, except casulties and move on. Otherwise the damage on numerous elements of the society will be much bigger.

Bangkok Post article today. Strongly suggests she got infected while in quarantine. Which is what would be most consistent with the timing of her symptoms and positive test.
So to find out that quarantine, lock downs etc wont really help. It just slows the proces. Herd immunity is the fastest way to brings us back to the normal life.

They wont come my friends. Wake up.
