And this will go on and on and on. Numbers up........numbers down. Another vaccin, another rule. And why do people think tourism will be back on their feet again in any given time? I think that Thailand have to think and work on a new business model.

Satish Sehgal, chairman of the India-Thai businessmen association, said Indians should be included in the 'low risk' list as Indian tourists are amongst the top 5 spenders in Thailand, visiting the country for tourism, weddings and business.
Yep, that is the criteria

The workers didn't just disappear. What's wrong with these people. Where are the high school kids who used to take fast food jobs? College students taking part time jobs? Schools are open so parents can't use that excuse.

And not just in the USA. Europe also has these "labour problems. And the rising inflation is what is inevitable but also the beginning of a huge financial crisis that awaits us. Just like in China, the housing market is an important and substantial part of our economy. house prices have exploded. This will have consequences if interest rates, according to economic laws, have to contain inflation. A significant interest rate increase can no longer be ruled out. This will cause problems for homeowners "But many companies will also get into trouble if interest rates rise. There has been massive borrowing in recent years. The money was almost free. When interest rates rise, many companies will run into problems with all the consequences. now in the period when it will become clear whether the financial system is now definitively bankrupt or whether we are going to let go of the old economic laws. Who knows…..may say.

I dont know about SE Asia but in Europe the number of sales of Campers and Caravans went up big time. Those people will probably not planning to fly for a few years. With that i want to say that behaviour of people has changed. The numbers of tourist we had here (Th) in 2019 will not come back soon. No matter what you do.

Regardless of what any government comes up with to create so-called security, don't forget that the fear and thereby the behavior of potential travelers has changed drastically.

Not a lot in my opinion; who wants to come here to uncertain rules, polluted air and you can't even get a drink in a Bar ? That's not a Holiday is it ?
I think they are aiming more on the Families of SE Asia. Then the bars are not a big thing.

Will this all stand??? Infection rates all over the world are going up again. Even with a vaccin you can have Covid and pass it on. So i really wondering if this all will stand untill december.

Anti vaxxers should be taken out and shot for speading such false information. Take a look at the deaths in the UK in January/February this year compared to now. Infection rates in the UK are fairly high at the moment but they are not translating into deaths. Post facts, not fiction!

Conclusion Vaccination with either one dose of BNT162b2 or ChAdOx1-S was associated with a significant reduction in symptomatic covid-19 in older adults, and with further protection against severe disease.
Thats why i do trust these kind of reports and not a gouvernment that want to put a needle in avery kids arm.

Exactly. Which are produced in your body in advance of an infection in mass quantities ready for battle by using a vaccine. Why are the anti vaxxers so daft they can't understand this simple concept?
Because they may assume that their own immune system will successfully fight the virus and in the future know what to do in the event of a next covid attack.

A while back on the UK news they were saying 1/2 pfizer for a booster next if you have had 2 AZ vaccines.
Just wish they could now say you've had you jabs and boosters and that's you finished for 10 years - but wishing thinking.
I think we are at the point that this is going to be a periodic event.
-
If the half yearly or yearly booster rule will be effective you can forget about mass tourism. For what ive heard, more and more people will refuse to take these boosters. That means that this will be a group that wont (or can't) go for long distance holidays.

I am not affraid as i have already a full life and the world is turning into a sh1tty place.. But a piece of mind i need to die peacefull. I have to be sure my kids and wife are fine for the feature.
I do love life but when you get older (53) and see how full of <deleted> most of the people are.......... i think that the best years are behind me. The years that your kids grow up, you make a career, still have dreams etc etc. The absolute will of living flows away. You dont have the will and energy anymore to play the game. So i hope that the years that i have left are full of fun and meeting nice people.

This thai doctor describes what has just happened in India - most people got sick and acquired natural immunity from the live virus, the wave went down. The number of detected infections is bs everywhere, real numbers are in billions now, mortality rate is very low. What happened in India is now happening in Thailand, give it another month to play out.
Totaly agree with you and the doctor. What we have seen is the biggest fear creation ever,

Suicide, ok you do it yourself, but you were forced by the system you live in. Technically murder then?
Your wife divorces you and you kill your self, murder? You get fired for some reason and you kill yourself, murder?
Sometimes you get out of those worries and sometimes its enough.
You came to this world and no one asked you if you wanted it.
So ending your life is , i think , a right to do so.
Amazingly though how it works.
There are so many people, they "live" , have nothing and dont step out and otherwise people who have it all and just step out.
All depending when the brain pops and say its enough.
And the main stream media is a big help

Let's face facts, whoever would go for a Russian or Chinese vaccine must be out of mind. We all know how these countries behave with ethical ruling. Moreover The challenge will be to get enough vaccines for the whole population and FREE. Which I imagine will unfortunately be impossible in this country cancerized by sick bureaucracy and omnipresent corruption. And last issue: the vaccination priority. In my opinion first the healthcareworkers and others having an essential function in this crisis. After the civil population and here I would act opposite to most countries. Instead of starting with the eldest, begin with the youngest and end the vaccination program with the senior citizens. This in respect with the circle of life. And by the way I am 68 years old.
I hear you but i would put it in a bit different way. About the civil population, i think its good to start with the most vulnerable. They have the most risk of getting in trouble. But with approach of this virus in the last 10 months i think they made a big mistake by stopping the "normal world" for the young and the healthy to protect the vulnerable. They should have separate this vulnerable group and let the others live on in a normal way. The economy, and many people, would be better of and the herd immunity (supported by the vaccin) would be in reach sooner.
Stay healthy.

Anyone else decided that Thailand is no longer the place they fell in love with and will never return?

What i see in Europe and America is about the same. Its not what it was anymore. The same goes for Thailand. The world is changing and people are changing with it. Its a matter of adapt and switch. If you manage to do so the good things, in another shape, will come back again. But all the luck with the traveling and i do hope you find a place were you feel happy again.
Cheers mate
