You got the girl of your dreams already sitting on your bed, she's really getting into gear right now and starts to undress... then you say; "Before you go ahead, Darling, please allow me to pre-charge you the amount of 10 USD for condom, shampoo, body wash, body lotion, water usage, electricity and laundry services for bedding and towel, thank you!"
That's why Thai officials are never getting laid... ????- 2

I had everything, from a huge 2nd hand Komatsu PC220 down to a brand new Kubota U17... We own a big farm AND a construction business... All I can tell you is that it is much more economical AND less cost intensive to simply rent one by the hour with a driver whenever you need work be done. Yes, I know it's fun for the first couple of weeks to use it yourself and dig in like a kid building a sand castle on the beach... But believe me when I say that the initial euphoria will wear off real quick. All that remains are costs, high maintenance, storage (otherwise it will rot away fast with cables being eaten by rats) and loss of resale value. Unless you plan to do a business that rotates solely around digging and soil sales and transport, you are losing money and most likely will sell that digger rather sooner than later. Been there, done that, bought the shirt!
You could compare it to a boat - a boat is (unless you are a natural born sailor who simply can't live on dry land) a giant hole in the water... After the initial fun has worn off, imagine yourself throwing (once or multiple times per month) all your money and posessions into a row boat, row out into the sea to that hole, throw ALL of your posessions in there and row back to shore... This is how it feels to be a boat owner. Also here (despite having had one of the greatest scuba businesses in SEA almost two decades ago, running 2 own ships and one chartered)... Been there, done that, bought several shirts...
Hope that helps.
Cheers,

I'm not living in Thailand anymore because of this poop! left end of 2019 just before it all started, There are Thai's all over the world getting treated as they should as anyone else in a country, But good old Thailand NOT they don't like us at all, WE ARE POOP TO THEM........
Naaaa, c'mon - you couldn't say that! A walking ATM machine means so much more than "poop" to the locals and their masters! Different story, of course, when that machine has finally been emptied... -
Another day at the office...

I believe there is a good chance, that those "long-term, high-net-worth visitors" are intelligent enough to do a little research on how foreign tourists, investors, Thai Co. Ltd. business founders, house-buying and Isaan-family-supporting long termers, jamming musicians, scammed motorbike, car or jet ski renters, tourists who had the nerve to openly complain about bad services, and other Thailand lovers in general have been treated by their hosts and their government in the past... oooooops! ????

No finger pointing in the photo - given that, I guess that this much expected racist stance is not to be taken serious, just yet? ???? No? It is? Oooops... off to the camps and train waggons we go...

All those pesky, smelly and unshowered Farangs, along with their wifes and GFs voting against this poor, well spoken, eloquent, far-sighted, world-open, modern, skilled and tolerant health expert... That simply isn't fair! ????

Hey, Rooster - while ordering some FFP2 masks for yourself (and I hope you will wear them 24/7 as inhaling CO2 all day is a real kicker), why not also get some of those red armbands, you know - the ones with a white circle and a swastika... Those people wearing them back then had a mindset similar to yours when it came to deniers or foes of the ruling party. Hell yeah! Put it on and then get those deniers and stupid tinfoil hats who dare to ask uncomfortable questions and who don't repeat the official narrative over and over again like a brainless parrot, beat 'em up and throw them into camps. You' the man, Rooster, you' de maan!!!!

I was lucky enough to visit Samui 30 years ago - back then, the island would have deserved to be on that list, but now? All you see is trash, decay, abandoned shops and property projects and roads riddled with death traps and potholes... and that was the fact already BEFORE C-19 hit. We were there for vacation in 2019 and it was an absolute horrible experience. We could have been better and cheaper off just staying near our home at a popular west coast province.

Let me guess - UK mint sauce on roast at #7,345,112 ??? ????

... if there weren't those pesky, smelly Farangs around, who never shower... Didn't manage to eradicate all of them yet, right, Mr. Health Minister? Maybe put them in camps? Just an idea...

Like Einstein once said; "There are only two things that are infinite... The universe and human stupidity, I'm not so sure about the universe though..."
I have the eerie gut feeling that we'll read more about this beast, and it's not gonna be pretty.

Don't worry, Mr. truck driver and Mr./Mrs. owner of the trucking company - a few wais performed nicely at the right time plus a bit of cash will do after Mr. truck driver has sobered up and reported to a police station of choice, and all will be honkey dory again...

Any disease will run its natural course eventually, regardless of governments either trying to knee jerk reacting against it or not. In some cases it will destroy life, and in others strengthen the immune system of the healthy and strong ones. In a society, where we have been indoctrinated to bash and hate the strong, hard working and innovative ones while investing all our money, time and effort into getting even the weakest and laziest pulled through, a big natural "cleanup" is long, long overdue! May the strongest and the best of us survive.

There's only one way to save the reefs: BAN ALL SEA WALKING for infinity WORLDWIDE!!!!
People who are too uncomfortable in the water to truly SCUBA dive (PLUS who don't have the time, common sense, skill and patience to successfully master a complete SCUBA course, learn proper buoyancy control, safety techniques, etc.) or who'd find that "just snorkelling" is not good enough for them, should simply NOT be taken under water with whatever kind of shortcut modified Tin-Tin fish bowl equipment enabling the greedy tour operator to submerge the narrow minded.
Why not take those people on solar powered electrical submarine trips instead? What in hell could be the reason to allow irresponsible city dwellers who mostly can't even swim to stumble around on or near reefs, killing the coral polyps with tons of stirred up silt and/or breaking them by stepping onto them, touching them or accidentally stumbling and falling onto coral??? Do I hear the word "money"??? 1.500 THB per pop won't bring a whole coral reef back to life, folks!!!!
And... don't get me started on Thailand's fishing Mafi... ahemm, sorry "industry"... There's so much more to do here to save Thailand's reefs and under water eco systems, but instead of igniting proper legal action against the true perpetrators, all we see is irrational official knee jerk reactions that hurt the scuba diving industry only - the ones in this whole charade who care the most about aquatic life and preservation.
Have to go and throw up now, sorry...
Happy Reef walking then, everyone!!! -
Joining the army (regardless of it being just for basic training and/or several years) should be done on free will only. Anyone drafted in by "force" won't be a "well functioning" soldier anyway.
A person has to have it in him/her to become a soldier, and often enough, people who really would love to join the armed forces are not drafted or are being rejected, whilst others who hate weapons, war, fighting and conflict in general, are drafted in to have a miserable year or more...
My take on this: Leave the youngsters (especially transgenders) alone and let them make their own choices! Make love, not war!
Btw. love all of the girls shown in the article and would take any of them to be my GF at any given time. -

Big issue with/in China I guess.
Satan-y, Devil-y stuff forbidden.
Anything satanic should be banned and harshly punished worldwide!!! Sentence? Just the exact same treatment you'd receive in hell. I heard that the rich and famous, especially the Hollywood crowd, get free rides down there - what fun!!! Hell's so hot right now ???? -

Well I can talk confidently here, since my wife is Chinese and she is working here for a Chinese real estate company at the moment.
I get the feeling that average Thai people sees Chinese with better eyes than they see us (me). I don’t know if you catch my point, it’s hard to explain. But I many times have that feeling. It’s like they see them as brothers or cousins while they see us as strangers, something like this.
Well, that's some scary thought, my friend! ????- 2

Exactly what us expats need at the moment... Perhaps an "agent" installed by the Thai health minister to prove his point, that all of us "Farangs" are dirty, smelly and filthy subhumans?
