More gobbledygook, incoherent. Seems to refer to something, but to what. I wasn't using it for the whole electorate, obviously, these studies take statistical averages, that's what sociological studies do.I would bet you never read a scientific study in detail, or any books for that matter. I good give you a list of starter books, but you will do better on Tiktok.

What are you talking about? Makes no sense whatsoever. A course in logic and rational reasoning might be in order. I criticize Thaksin, and you start obsessing about the yellow shirts. There's a lot more than just red and yellow. Is there anything in my reply about the yellow shirts. The yellow shirts work for the traditional ,royalist elite. You have the limited mind of a MAGA Trumpian:You are not with us, so you must be a radical Marxist .Your reply is not even cliches, it's I have no idea what. My remarks on autocracy are based on studies by the Yale Professors Jason Stanley and Timothy Snyder. So read some books instead of jabbering about whatever is swirling in your head. On to another source:The Bangkok post, about 15 years published the results of IQ tests done in different regions of Thailand: Northern Thailand: 89 Isan: 90 Southern Thailand: 94 Bangkok: 96 Backs up what I said about the support of Thaksin .

Many of the uneducated rice farmers in Isan might support Thaksin, the educated middle class in Bangkok despises him. In this regard, the 2 Ts (the orange one in the US and the square-faced one in LOS) are the same:the higher your IQ and your education the less likely you are to support them. This is not to say that the working class in both countries do not have legit grievances, they certainly do, but they are betting on the wrong horse to genuinely and long-term address them .Hitler initially got the masses out of the misery of the Great Depression.Fascists everywhere do not really care about the people, but they know how to manipulate them. They are master manipulators.

That is the problem with the Smartphone and Tiktok generation. In the nineties we had a million people marching in BANGKOK, protesting the illegitimate Suchinda regime. Seems impossible with a generation glued to their devices. It's not just Thailand, all over the world the people get screwed, while scrolling to the next mindless distraction.

Jomtien Immigration
thecyclist replied to thailand49's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Location is not the problem. Overcrowding, at least now during off season, isn't the main problem either. When I went there for my exemption extension a few weeks ago, the lines were short. And ,in spite of the fact that all my paperwork was in order, it still took 3 hours and 45 minutes, most of it just sitting around waiting, till I got my passport back.It used to be much faster in the cramped old office on Soi 8.On the bright side, the scowling faces from the old office are all gone. At Jomtien you even get the occasional smile, which the officers on Soi 8 were forbidden to exhibit. Maybe these guys work faster when they are allowed to scowl and frown. So bring the sour faces back, and get things done again in under one hour. -
What's so good about Cambodia
thecyclist replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
They shut down all the cheap brothels a long time ago. Where do you get the 10$ women??? In Laos the food is just too expensive. Used to be cheaper there than in both Cambodia and Thailand. That was 25 years ago. The last time I was in Laos, in 2016, it was 2 to 3 times as expensive as LOS. -
Monsoon madness: Bangkok braces for a rainfall check
thecyclist replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Not a drop of rain so far this August in the Rayong area. -
When they first introduced the 2000 Baht fine for littering, I think it was about 20 years ago copying Singapore, around 80 % of those caught and fined in Bangkok were foreigners ,according to figures published in the Bangkok Post back then.Thais litter a lot more than farangs, who are brought up to not litter. Probably 99% of littering is done by Thais, but very few of those caught are Thais. It is one giant xenophobic scam, and it looks like nothing has changed.

Is it really more fun in the Philippines?
thecyclist replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Not necessarily. But you gotta get out of the comfort zone of tourist or farang dense area, and move around the country by yourself, not in a group. If you have never felt threatened in LOS, you either haven't done that, or haven't been here long enough . -
Is it really more fun in the Philippines?
thecyclist replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Was there several times in the eighties and nineties and ,yes, they were great. But on my recent trips I found them as mercenary as the Thais. Part of it could be myself being older now, but I have a feeling that the current crop is very different from their mothers. -
Is it really more fun in the Philippines?
thecyclist replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Not so sure about the "violent crime part ".Probably more scams and crime in general, but LOS is a pretty violent country. I have been biking all over the Philippines and Thailand. Encountered a lot a lot of aggression and an attempted robbery in Thailand. Never felt threatened or in danger in the Philippines. -

Because it's a lot cheaper, and after medical treatment they get to celebrate with hookers and booze. -

thecyclist replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
That is an interesting question, do extreme narcissists and sociopaths like Trump or Thaksin really deep down believe the crap that comes out of their traps.Or do they know it's BS,but get kicks out of brainwashing their deplorable cult members into believing. Sociopaths love manipulation. -
Is it really more fun in the Philippines?
thecyclist replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Philippines is more expensive. The food sucks. Alcohol is cheaper though. The Filipinas used to be more fun and better in bed, but not anymore. But it's a beautiful country, and is different enough to make for a nice change after years or decades in LOS -

Naked Foreigner Found Wandering Around On Pattaya Beach

Actually they often do, but never the hot ones. -
pretty sure it would be the end .For plutocrats of the Thaksin brand the only fun in life is accumulating wealth and power. a few suggestion for the anal hoarding Shinawatras: Limit the sale of alcohol further to a single hour , 7 to 8pm.Closing time for bars 10 pm.Fun is for losers . And while Tony is at it, he might as well repeat his previous quadrupling of visa extension fee. Last time from 500 to 1900 Baht, this time from 1900 to 7500Baht. Helps with rich guys in ,losers out.
