  1. This is kind of a self fulfilling prophecy, which boils down to: "Covid will never disappear because I will never get vaccinated".
  2. We're back to the inability of anti-vaxxers to understand that some protection is better than no protection. This isn't a flaw in medical science, it's a cognitive problem on the part of anti-vaxxers.
  3. Let's see... Medical science has concluded that vaccination suppresses Covid. But, anonymous posters make claims that it doesn't, and they don't cite any medical studies. Who to believe? BTW, where are you on the Flat Earth thing?
  4. Basic immunology seems frightening to you. The way that it works is, if enough people are immunized, a disease effectively disappears. You know, like polio and smallpox.
  5. Good news. If enough people were to get annual boosters, Covid would effectively disappear.
  6. for many 43 year old Thai ladies, an old Farang need only supply money. She can get sex from her Thai kik.
  7. If next time she asks to borrow 5000 baht, she's doing the Escalator, as I described before.
  8. The 21st is still a couple of days away. If she does pay the 3000 back, she will soon ask to borrow 5,0000 baht. That's how the Escalator works.
  9. The idea is to keep your vaccinations current. You never know when or if the virus mutates into a deadly form.
  10. I am approximating, give me a break. Do you really want me to calculate to the last decimal point?
  11. I lent her the 3000 baht and she promised to pay me back on the 21st, which is the day her Farang boyfriend is supposed to pay her.
  12. OK, let's do the math: 13,000 baht = 20,000 liters at 1.5 liter per baht. 20,000 liters = 3,333 6 liter bottles. Let's assume 10 bottles filled per hour, that's 240 bottles per day, that's no service for 13 days. I can't believe the daily average would be more than 200-300 bottles per day.
  13. What is interesting is the cintrast with Ukraine, which is attempting to join the European Union, and so is trying to reduce corruption. My personal opinion is that Ukraine was as corrupt as Thailand, so it will be interesting to see how their efforts to eliminate corruption fare.
  14. I am also at high risk. I have bargirls come to my condo and they sometimes have engaged in close contact while infected. Maybe I am naturally immune, or maybe my vaccinations protected me, but I have never been infected despite these ladies' best efforts.
  15. I see one lady (a civvie) in Khon Kaen maybe once a month, and occasionaly travel with her. She sends me daily pointless messages professing her undying love. A couple of days ago, she left her village to go to a farm. I got a message on Facebook from some unknown Thai man asking if she was with me. Apparently, she forgot to tell her boyfriend that she wouldn't be home for a while. This is Thailand.
  16. One major hurdle for a Thai lady wanting to marry a Farang is her Thai husband. Yeah, they all have a Thai man stashed away somewhere. You really think they are celibate while they wait for you? IF they are celibate for a long time before meeting you, they will remain celibate after they marry you.
  17. what hospital is offering this vaccine in PATTAYA?
  18. My pet peeve is when they claim they are 1 minute away, but are going the wrong way on a one way street, just having passed me. So a 1 minute wait stretches into infinity as the taxi struggles to find a route back, before eventually giving up.
  19. No worries, plenty of anti-vaxxers posting disinformation to keep the topic alive. Here's a question for the anti-vaxxers in general: Would you intentionally post disinformation if it would convince someone not to vaccinate?
  20. You anti-vaxxers remind me of the people who claim that car seat belts are dangerous because someone once got trapped in a car by a seat belt.
  21. Duhh... The Covid vaccine evolved over the last years, so the narrative changed. And by "clinical studies" I include those conducted independently of the initial studies by the vaccine developers.
  22. I'm not suggesting we go into lockdowns or that everyone should wear facemasks every time there is a new Covid wave. Just get your annual booster shot, so you are less likely to get infected and pass it on.
  23. Any big project in Thailand more than 2 years out is unreliable.
