According to my Buriram relatives who are getting vaccinated today, it has already started.
Did they register first, or is this a case of some impromptu vaccination campaign?
Did any relative refuse the jab and go to jail?

From the second half:
"Those who refuse to receive vaccine jabs, as ordered, may face a maximum fine of 60,000 Baht – 20,000 Baht for a violation of the Communicable Diseases Act and 40,000 Baht for a violation of the emergency decree – and/or two years in prison."
Since there are no vaccines, the second half is meaningless.
Also, the paperwork required by May 31 can relieve the requirements for a jab.

"who refuse to get vaccinated, will be penalized, according to a provincial order published recently."
From the OP:
”Failure to apply by May 31st is liable to one month in prison and/or a fine of 10,000 Baht.”

It refers to the number of active cases. Not daily new cases.
Chonburi is Orange in the map, which denotes 51-100 cases. But Chonburi has 1000+ active cases.

Buriram Governor Thatchakorn Hatthathayakul urged every individual, aged 18 or more, living or working in Buriram, to submit their COVID-19 risk assessment form and apply for vaccination through the publicly available channels by May 31st.
the legal requirement is to submit paperwork, not to get vaccinated.A lot of scared Farangs here.

Only four provinces reported 100 or more new COVID cases on Friday:
Bangkok -- 1,087
Pathum Thani -- 157
Nonthaburi -- 131
Samut Prakan -- 121
Bangkok and its five adjoining provinces accounted for nearly 70 percent (1,563 of 2,256) of the new cases reported Friday. The other 71 provinces combined totaled only 505 cases.
Chiang Mai had only 16 new cases reported, while Chonburi had 64.
Sixteen provinces reported no new cases, while 41 provinces reported 10 or fewer cases.
The government's prisons are now being treated as a separate area for case reporting, with the 2,835 in Bangkok reported Thursday and another 183 today making a cumulative total of 3,018 prison cases in the past two days.

Is Chonburi now officially an Orange zone, or was this a mistake?

i'm just saying its a huge inconvenience not be able to use the pool, steam room and fitness center in my condo just to save the 1% that are sick and vunerable. Let the 99% continue life
You are unclear on the concept of risk management during an epidemic.
Far more than 1% are impacted by the virus.

Care to explain
Bangkok tests some 2000 to 3000 people on most days.
Chonburi tests about 1000 a day now.
Other provinces test, but don’t post the numbers, it comes in bits and pieces.
Other posters have stated that about 15,000 people are tested every day.

28 in Pattaya?
Linked to what?
Worker Camps? Markets? Entertainment venues?
Temples or Churches?
Are these walk in testers or targeted communities?
I for 1 would like to know!
The details on today’s cases given were:
Contact from previous confirmed cases:
11 family members who were close contacts
Contacted from previous confirmed cases and being investigated 27 cases.

Must still be rationing the Testing Kits to 20K a Day, as this 2000 per Day Infection rate is then 10% of those tested.
Seems about right to me
Except for testing outside of Bangkok, you are right.

Won't need a hospital bed. Already had Covid-19 - quite survivable... Caught it early on in Penang mingling with thousands of Chinese fresh off the plane - some even from Wuhan. Also I have proper meds to fight it again.... Just don't let them put a ventilator on you - the last thing you'll see.
Let me guess: you had a bad flu in January 2020, and think you had Covid-19. But you never got tested.
I mingled with thousands of Chinese in Penang in early 2020 and was ill later on. There was no Covid test at the time. Later, I got an antibody test, and was negative for Covid antibodies.
So, no, you didn’t have Covid, and your opinion on the survivability from Covid is not valid anyway.

yeah this stupid and uneducated governor of Florida, with Yale and Oxford diplomas.... so maybe response to epidemic is the reason ....
Florida has more new infections than any other state in the US - it’s been that way since they stupidly re-opened the state to Covid-19.
The virus doesn’t care which university people have gone to.

From virus or with virus and additional diseases and old age? Moreover age is above average. And average deaths are as yearly usual. If this is not a fraud then I don't know what is.... As I told, it's harder to accept the truth if you should change your views....
the US has had significant excess mortality since the epidemic began.
The people sending you misinformation should be ashamed for taking advantage of your lack of knowledge in this area.

Glad to hear this. I see the government has realized isolation is worse than socializing. In the US, the states that did not go under lock-down actually faired much better than the states that did. There are other whole countries that never went under lock-down and they too faired much better than the ones that did. Not only better sickness rates but economic! People have become hysterical about a virus that the recovery rate is better than 98% of those that even catch it! In the mean time whole countries are going bankrupt as well as people losing their business, their homes, their cars...etc.
this quote did not age well.
Florida opened too quickly, and has the highest infection rate in the US.

I have always judged Singapore to be a place of paranoids. One should never take that society as an example.
Are you referring to the country that has had only 38 deaths from Covid-19?
I guess you are right, no one should ever follow the example of the country that leads the world in containing the virus.

Another approach is to have a battery bank so large that the Inverter has no leftover power to feed to the grid.

They were doing walk-in vaccinations for local residents at a site near the Bon Kai slums. Because many of the slum dwellers who had been given coupons didn't show up, they opened up to walk-ins in the afternoon to avoid throwing away the unused Sinovac. A farang showed up with PR, tabien baan and pink card showing residence in the district but was told to go away - only for Thai people. A lot of Thais looked at the densely packed queue and fled. No doubt many vaccines were thrown out.
Great organisation by the new Czar.
You are saying that the line for vaccinations was so long that nobody got vaccinated?

that's how virus acts, everyone gets infected, basic virology .... but people dying like flies? as I told , hardest part is to convince people that they have been scammed ........
Especially the millions who have died from the virus, they are hard to scam.

This will get stupider.
When mass vaccination is available, there won’t be a national registry listing who was vaccinated, they will just give some paper card during vaccinations.
So, anyone can buy a fake vaccination card, a get out of jail free card for those who don’t want to wear face masks.
After a few months of this, the government will announce a plan to study the problem.- 1

They can open everything tomorrow. Look at Florida. Haven't heard anything from there? Maybe they all have died already there so no news in mainstream media. Nothing worse than anywhere else happen, only happy people without masks and all other bs. Ahh, but it's so easy to defraud people but it's a lot more hard to convince them that they have been cheated.....
Florida dropped its restrictions and now has the most new infections in the US.

32 deaths is very low, more die in auto accidents, not necessary to inconvenience 99% of the population to save 1%
This guy is not clear on the concept: the inconvenience is to keep the number of deaths low.
