Just the facts please, without the emotional bs prevalent here.

Reuters today reports 18.15 million jabs completed in Thailand.

Thats enough for 13% total population double jabbed (or 26% single jabbed). At current rate of 250k daily jabs, 30 Sept will see 23% double jabbed thai population. Sinovac must be 99% of that but thats another issue. Sinovac certainly effective & lots better than nothing......

Pfizer & further AZ will be jabbed extensively by 30 Sept, starting with elderly, sick, health workers I suppose. Yes, govt. vax scheme has been very slow, poorly supplied, corrupt & incompetent ( by western standards) but is clearly substantially improving in face of Delta Threat & Higher Deaths.

Govt. also not responsible for millions of superstitious emotional frightened Thais who have not or will not vax (vax supply situation aside).

Fact they get their newborn kids vaccinated for all sorts seems not to matter.......

My terrified ladys Mother >60 had to dragged to Bang Sue by her other daughter even for AZ which is generally trusted by thais. Daughter got free- jabbed with AZ too as elderly family “escort” !

Also many irrational, anti - vax expats here & there, who should know better, refusingto get any jab & disbelieving of even reputable western scientific data sources.........like US FDA & UK & EU State Medical Agencies.

"Thats enough for 13% total population double jabbed (or 26% single jabbed)."

You inferring 13% (of who, eligible adults?)  fully vaccinated?

Where did you get that figure, seems way too high for Thailand.

I am computer literate but sinopharm page went blank on me after 15 minutes of waiting in line and downloaded application is malfunctional.

All proves, that it's a lottery, sheer luck

I don't know <deleted> is going on with these vaccine registrations. They also registered a Brit (>60 years) and a Thai male (<50 years age) from the locale in the same session a few moments ago. I will ask them for the details on exactly how they are doing this.

    what application is working?

I have just tried to register on sinopharm one - for the last 30 minutes I am waiting to enter more personal details, system overload. And now registration is closed, till the next Wednesday - just like lottery time for fun

My computer illiterate neighbor (assisted by my staff) just CONFIRMED Sinopharm at some BKK hospital and is awaiting payment invoice of 770 baht/dose.

Apparently there is pay (Sinopharm) and non-pay (Sinovac) option for Thai's on this particular vaccine registration website.

That was the original point, looked for a home test kit, couldn't find one and went to a clinic. Cost a bit more than a home test but done professionally with a fairly quick answer.

The queues at Chonburi Hospital do not make it a particularly pleasant environment, why I use Bang Saen normally, although registered at Chonburi, only ever been as a visitor and to get the free flu jab.

BTW I take it you meant the 344/bypass intersection, you would need a helicopter to come from the No 7 in 15 minutes.

You need the location for Meung Chonburi helicopter rentals?

I think it would be difficult to ‘mix vaccines’ within Thailand, if someone is registered under Mor Promp for taking a SinoVac vaccine, they can probably get an AZ at MedPark with separate registration - but securing the ‘dual Vaccination’ certificate is going to be tricky.

I am taking a Mixed vaccination, but only because I have travelled overseas.

In early June I took AZ in Thailand. Beginning of July I took a Pfizer dose and I will take a follow up Pfizer dose in a few days.

Research suggests that Viral Vector followed by mRNA offers better effiacy. I can’t see how a 3rd injection (a second Pfizer injection) is going to hurt. I’m treating it as a booster - I need it for the ‘vaccine certificate’ (to show I’ve received both doses).

So, Since from June to say Aug 5th (60-65 days) you will have been vaxxed 3 times in with only about 3 weeks between AZ and Pfizer? On who's advise did you follow for that regimen or did you plan it? Any noteworthy ill effects?

    It would.

The policy here is very clear.

Stick with the same place for the initial two doses including mix doses.

Whether that means there will be flexibility allowed for later booster doses is not yet known.

Yes, sounds like mixing is a good strategy at this point but can an expat make this work with all the current regulations and every changing registration woes in Thailand?

My research suggests AZ followed by Phizer is a potential effective and safe combination to this point as shown in very preliminary testing.

  7. It has been articulated by the hospital(s) & vaccine promoter/provider, ie: BOI, that 1st & 2nd jabs must be scheduled and completed from same provider and hospital in order to receive the official vaccine record. Mixing vaccines from two separate providers and different vaccines might upend the system and leave you without an official vaccine record?

Why make things up? I never asked where test kits are available, I just said they were not readily available in our area.

You decided to chip in with your derogatory comment regarding my niece and so called "help" that was as much use as a chocolate fireguard. End of story.

Perhaps she's has helpless as you as well, runs in the family?

    PS: you "chipped" first.

Express are still using a server in Thailand (Bangkok), I have just tested it.

Wrong, ExpressVPN's Thailand server is virtual, physically hosted in Singapore. Your IP checker is false, masked as Thailand. I can prove it with ping/latency tests.

    FYI: https://www.expressvpn.xyz/support/troubleshooting/virtual-server-locations/

You should check Cyber-ghost Bangkok server as it is virtual as well, NOT hosted in Thailand.

"Just for the record I understand that this service is for Expats over a certain age, but I know a few that have been vaccinated who are under 60 years old."

Selfish, queue jumpers crawling out from the woodwork.... ????

I suspect there will be a lot more of these before this is finished.

I spoke with some younger folks, early 40's (expat teacher, and one with underlying health condition) who are on the covid vaccine eligibility list. The hospital registration process allows only those meeting eligibility criteria to schedule the vaccine. Also, some embassy's offer vaccine based on citizenship, not age or risk assessment.

  11. Hmmm, pretty sure it's not illegal to knock on someones door where I'm from, but I'm also pretty sure my two dogs don't know that.

Best way to approach this intrusion on your right to peace, privacy & tranquility is to answer the knock on the door wearing only an open bathrobe, with all your junk exposed, carrying a can of miller on one hand, a baloney sandwich in the other after rubbing some cat turds all over yourself.
