There is no such thing as "British English"
British English (BrE, en-GB, or BE)[3] is the set of varieties of the English language native to the island of Great Britain.[6] More narrowly, it can refer specifically to the English language in England, or, more broadly, to the collective dialects of English throughout the British Isles taken as a single umbrella variety, for instance additionally incorporating Scottish English, Welsh English, and Ulster English.

A lot of women will talk and give a number if you ask as a face saving gesture, then not follow up. It's not really the same as getting a number in other countries.

You can even go into immigration a couple of days after the report back date a there will be no problem.
That is true, if you are inside Thailand.
If outside Thailand and dont return by the last day of the under consideration stamp, your extension is gone.

Is it possible for a parent who has no job connections whatsoever with Thailand to obtain a Guardian Visa just to stay long-term in Thailand by sending the child to an international school in Thailand ?
I have always thought the child's visa is sponsored by the parent, so that the parent must at least have some legal reason to remain in Thailand, and then the international school will accept the child to study in the school and give her an Education Visa.
Is the opposite way possible ?
Possible, if you have 400,000 baht in your Thai account and sole custody of the child granted by the Thai court
