3. Clearly specify the time period for considering and examining the qualifications for applying for Thai citizenship or applying for naturalization as a Thai The competent official must complete the process within 90 days or 120 days in the case of filing abroad. which can be extended for no more than 30 days at a time, but not more than 2 times and must be in the case of necessity only (previously, there was no time limit for considering and checking qualifications) I have tears???? But the new regulations also mention about the 90 day processing deadline which can be extended by 30 days , 2 times. 120 days deadline if applying from abroad. Are they that efficient? I don't think so Official link here - https://www.thaigov.go.th/news/contents/details/50437 -

PR requires 3 years of UNBROKEN work permit & extension of stay. You never open your PP and have a look at it? Near the 'extension of stay' its written in clear English - 'To keep your stay Re-entry permit must be made before leaving Thailand' -

Thai also never blend in. I have met several Thais in Australia, most of them cannot speak English fluently even after spending several years. They hardly have Aussie friends, they are like a 'Gaggle of Geese' who quack quack together.- 184 replies

How to take money out of Thailand?
DrJoy replied to Confuscious's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
In K Bank , you can do swift transfer in EUR thru the application itself. Limit is 49,999 USD, equivalent in other currencies. I have done it several times, painless and efficient. -
Actually the US Embassy does not have an address letter. What's interesting abt the US Embassy is that they have a self sworn affidavit. You can write I Mr. Harry Peters, an american citizen, hold US PP number this and my address in Thailand is xxxxx I swear the above is true. The Embassy will stamp it as ' Seen at the US Embassy, Bangkok' or signature of Mr. Harry is verified. All Thai Govt Departments including Banks , accept it happily.
-
Bottom line is- You have to pay either for addresses cert or ATM card or Insurance. But, you have to pay. Its your choice @noodleslayer
-
Correct. @noodleslayer Visit atleast 10 branches of different banks. Sure someone will say yes. If not, make them greedy and say I will buy your expensive ATM card . The a/c gets magically opened.
-
Yes you can with an airbnb. The owner of the airbnb has to report your stay with the Immigration within 24 hours. Its called the TM38. You take a copy of TM38 from your Landlord and then can get address cert
-
January 2020, it was 50 USD for US Embassy & 65 CAD for Canadian Embassy. Not sure abt the prices, don't quote me on that????
-
Its Muang Thong Thani for people who reside in Bangkok, not Chaengwattana. You can get an address cert from your Embassy as well.
-
If you get an address cert from your Embassy then its valid for 1 year.
-
Not sure abt Banks harry but Transport Office accepts it for 30 days only for D.L., buy car & scooter.
-
@noodleslayer Some branches may open just with your PP, if you buy expensive insurance or expensive ATM card.
