It used to be that free speech was recognized as an inalienable right.

If someone one was mistaken it was not a crime. //

    When was that? And where?

In most countries there is no "free speech".

Many subjects may bring you in front of the Justice

because law forbids to claim - or deny - about such subjects.

Same laws should apply on social media IMHO.

About lies (such as recent political lies) there should be a warning as soon as several people report it and when the probability of false/fake news is high.

Why dehydrate in the first place if you are then going to rehydrate by dipping into a liquid?

Looks like you never made camping, trekking or similar activity where you have a small volume and/or a rather small weight of things you can bring with you. Dehydrated eggs by example are perfect to make by example a good omelette from a very light and small bag of egg powder that find its place in your backpack.

O-A is from a persons home country via a Thai Embassy.

O is completed by Thai Immigration office.

    Sorry but false.

Both O-A and O are visas that one can get in a Thai embassy (so outside Thailand).

Main difference is that you may get the O-A only in your home country.

Immigration doesn't deliver visas, but can "change" the type of your visa (or exemption) if you need a O to get a yearly extension.

Correct me if wrong but yes proper terminology seems to be Non Immigrant O or OA Long-Stay Visa depending on if applied for within or outside TH. //

Both Non O and Non O-A are visas that you get outside of Thailand.

A Thai visa is mainly an authorisation to enter in the the country and to get an authorisation of stay when you arrive. No point in asking for a visa when already in Thailand.

Main exception is the "change" of your visa type in a Non O visa if you want to apply for a yearly extension.

NON-O is issued by the Immigration Department and they have the authority to turn that into an annual immigration visa. //

    Uh?

No. Non-O Visa are issued by Thai embassies or consulates worldwide. Same as for most (all?) visas. Visas depends on MFA.

Immigration doesn't issue visa but  can "convert" your current visa (or visa-exemption) into a Non-O in the only case where you are asking for a yearly extension and match requirements for it.

‘No Time To Die’ producers poured 8,400 gallons of Coca-Cola ...

Ok, and what volume is that exactly?

There must be at least 2 or 3 different gallon units...

When will reporters use international standard units that don't have such ambiguity ?

Liters or m3 would be more meaningful for most people.

And BTW, what volume of water to clean all this sugar after the stunt ?

So you are saying when it comes to any vote in an annual general meeting, the 49% foreigner ownership will prevail over the mandated 51% Thai ownership?

If the Thais vote against a levy of 100,000 baht on each unit for condo upkeep against your conviction the place is falling to pieces, what are you going to do?

You're the one that doesn't understand Thai laws.

You have 100% control of the condo unit that you own.

You will never see all Thai owners represented at an AGM.

And even in your own country, you have no 100% control of the condo if the majority of owners decide to vote differently that what you want.

Thai owners are not against foreigners at AGMs; they vote for the good of the condo globally.

Strange that the article does not mention that there is now a relatively easy solution for all 3 cases.  All of them can now apply for a 1-year Non Imm O-A Visa which would allow them to get the COE to return to Thailand.

Easy solution? maybe... but it doesn't allow me to  come back in Thailand before at best 6 months, because of the rule "equivalent of 500'000 B during 6 months in your checking account". I have more than this amount available, but not in my checking account!

// Buying property in a country where you [..] can only get to 49% control of a condo, is daft.

And you know of course that what you just wrote is false information ! :post-4641-1156693976:

Foreign owner of a condo in Thailand have 100% control of his condo unit !

Please stop posting such "information" if you don't understand Thai laws. :wai:

Treadmills don't have loose paving blocks and holes in the middle.

Did you ever walk/run in the paths of this park? No such problems.

I need to walk more, but as I got older my sense of balance as gone downhill. I find walking on Pattaya's pavements (when you can find them) is difficult and I don't really want to walk in the road. So what I'm looking for is a cheap gym with a treadmill. I dont particularly want anything else.

Many pedestrian paths in the park between the lighthouse and big buddha area.

Surely far better that walking on a treadmill ;(

The first mobile sterilization and vaccination truck for Pattaya to treat stray cats and dogs was launched yesterday.

Now we are just waiting to see where it will fall

It was not "yesterday". The OP was quoting an old article, probably from August.

I am not in Pattaya now so can't say what happened with this vehicle...

As far as my experience goes, this is something that they offer once a year in almost all provinces. However, all do not have a special bus for it.

True, but in Pattaya they made these "free sterilization promotion" at least twice last year.
