Yeah I work for a BOI company ...... zero <deleted> given in terms of minimum invested but I assume there has been a baht or two given we span 180,000 sq.ft in workshop floor space and 400 employees.
My hospital bills for the past 10 yrs in Thailand have amounted to 15 million plus.
My out of pocket expenses have been for food in the private wards after ICU/Surgery.
I did offer my credit card but I assume they could stooge the insurance for more hence the wait.
Glad they did wait cause my credit limit would not have cover a 3rd of the final bill.
I had a minor stroke back in '15.
Presented myself to hospital (actually drove the car but whole right side of my body really out of whack).
Admitted to A&E.
laid on a hospital bed (with not even the offer of a glass of water let alone any medical care) for 5 hours until my private insurance agreed to cover costs.
When insurance agreed... holy crap I suddenly become a VIP patient !
Pre arranged.
My emergency surgery in January was covered by Social Security (private insured declined), I was already in ICU for a different health issue.
Reversal surgery (pre planned) in April my private did cover.
