  1. Speed is a given but how do you know she was impatient and using her phone ?
  2. Am OMAD. lunch at work is 12.15 to 1.15, I eat then. Outside of that 1 hour eating period it is liquid only (coffee before work/water at work/beer after work).
  3. I transfer from Thailand to my home country...then the money disappears, How can it be traced ? Yes my credit cards tell my monthly daily spendings............ which part of that did you not understand ?
  4. A person walking around with sunglasses in their hand, a desperately pathetic person.
  5. Myself and the ball and chain go to the clinic in my soi for minor ailments. In my office they go to their local doc with a minor cough then email me a certificate for 5 days off work cause the doc says they have covid and inc a positive ATK test picture. Asked HR to change policy to require a PCR test be done or time off work will be unpaid. employee positive, employer pays for the test. employee negative, employee pays for the test. that would sort out the ones taking the piss and just wanting a 5 days off work real quick when its a chunk of coin coming from their pocket.
  6. Medical care and treatment aint free and its damn certain the 30b aint covering it. Govt need to up the fee and use this to pay the medical staff in their hospitals more.
  7. You think Iam a caveman still living under a rock ? I don't for 1 second think hospitals share patient records outside of their own organization, hence my assumption there IS a medical record database in Thailand rings fairly accurate as far as iam concerned nor do I believe an insurance company requests records from every hospital in the world when a claim is filed. As for how much I spend every month or how much is in my bank accounts. I get paid on the first of every month, 80% is transferred to my home country, both accounts (Thai and home country) have their balance reduced to zero the same day. I have zero money in the bank and other than my credit cards... it is impossible to know how much I spend each month.
  8. Demanding an employer cover the costs of a denied claim seems to me to be a quick track way to unemployment ! My employer made no promises as to what the insurance covers, luckily my social security did cover the costs at the other private hospital I was moved to..... that bill was very exxy but my only out of pocket expenses was for the private ward room once I left ICU. Amusingly my previous employer's provided insurance did cover the costs I had a stroke at the same hospital (BPH) I was attending for hypertension and claudication.
  9. As both events happened in Thailand Iam assuming there is some sort of medical record database.
  10. Why should my employer cover the bill... not their fault this insurance company denied claim. The bill I might add, my employer paid it, I was in a medically induced coma when moved to another hospital.... bill had to be paid before the hospital would let me go.
  11. yeah the pre-existing thing is with pretty much all private health policies, common knowledge to all. How did this insurance company know my history ? If I had a inkling of an idea my pneumonia would be denied due to a mild stroke years ago.... I would have gone to a govt hospital. I now know my "private health insurance" is worth less than the plastic card in my wallet. will take me atleast 12 months to pay back the 500k I had to borrow to pay the bill.
  12. I asked one of my ICU nurses if she needed "support".... she declined.
  13. I renewed my work permit 3 weeks ago (Chonburi BOI one stop), it has no address. I asked to have either my home or work address added, the answer was "cannot". Highly annoying to have to get residency certs when ever I deal with a Gov dept that requires proof of address.
  14. I did not speak them in person, on phone or email. HR manager handed me a business card size piece of plastic not long after starting employment, he said "this is your work funded private insurance, show it when you need to". I did not disclose my medical history to HR manager.
  15. Not sure how they know but my initial 3 month hospital stay this year was in a private hospital that should have been covered by my work supplied private cover. That insurer denied payment after 3 days citing pre-existing conditions, I had disclosed nothing to them or my employer so they found out somehow. I had a minor stroke 8 years ago, covered by insurance at BPH.... different insurance company. Somehow they linked a stroke in 2015 to the severe pneumonia I was suffering in 2023...... and thats why they denied claim.
  16. The 30b scheme..... The government does not cover the costs ?
  17. Get a couple of local girls (18+) set up on regular rotation. There is some entertainment and exercise !!
  18. The hospital I attend once a month it is compulsory, not a courtesy. No mask no entry and yes security on the door enforce the rule.
  19. Half a dozen of us expats did that a few years back in soi 6...was a slow day so we pitched in for a 4hr bar lockdown !!
  20. Spent 3 months in hospital this year. Cannot fault the service received, nurses went above and beyond IMHO. Initially changing nappy every time I had a movement (confined to ICU bed on a ventilator) then to changing colostomy bag when I had a large intestine bypass. When I finally made it to general ward I did have to pay extra for additional rehabilitation visits (Bt.1000 per session)... my choice as I was not allowed to leave until I could walk. Rehab 3 times a day got me outta there in 2 weeks albeit using a walking frame.
  21. Depends really. Some days I smile, others I stab them in the face with a broken beer bottle.
