  1. The ones I upset get little bit verbal and brake/throttle pedal happy, some even wave a pistol out the window at me.
  2. Iam fairly certain the 3rd of June is not in the month of May !!
  3. Buddhist behaviour towards and thinking about animals is not always positive. The doctrine of karma implies that souls are reborn as animals because of past misdeeds. Being reborn as an animal is a serious spiritual setback. Because non-human animals can't engage in conscious acts of self-improvement they can't improve their karmic status, and their souls must continue to be reborn as animals until their bad karma is exhausted. Only when they are reborn as human beings can they resume the quest for nirvana. This bad karma, and the animal's inability to do much to improve it, led Buddhists in the past to think that non-human animals were inferior to human beings and so were entitled to fewer rights than human beings. Early Buddhists (but not the Buddha himself) used the idea that animals were spiritually inferior as a justification for the exploitation and mistreatment of animals.

  9. Ahhh ok, thanks for the clarification. I just googled "no prostition in pattaya". And a local Pattaya news site (probably cannot name them or share link) posted an article in January of this year contains the following. "There is no prostitution on Pattaya Beach, at least none tourist police and Chonburi social workers found. Putting their credibility in doubt, local tourist police and officers from the Chonburi Social Development and Human Security Department said their after-dark Jan. 14 patrol found homeless people and street performers, but no hookers"
  10. Wasn't it only a few weeks ago some police chief/government official publicly declare there is no prostitution in Pattaya ?
  11. Last visit to a private hospital they did stop treatment when insurance company went "underlying pre-existing conditions" and refused cover. I was in a medically induced coma when this happened... So yes payment was a concern and there was doubts about paying the ever growing bill but I still had (well the missus did) possession of my passport. This passport confiscation for tourists.... its a non private hospital thing ?
  12. Iam non Thai citizen - same as this fella. I went to a private hospital - same as this fella. Hospital did not keep my passport - not same as this fella allegedly. I paid my own bill via means of not begging like a grub - not same as this fella. You are 100% correct, my situation is not the same - as this fella.
  13. Do private hospitals have a policy that foreign tourist admissions will have their passports confiscated ?
  14. Why does the hospital have possession of his passport ? Have had numerous stays in private hospitals here in Thailand over the years, none have ever kept my passport. Always handed back to me after copies were made.
  15. What meds are you on ? If not available OTC a generic alternative will be.
  16. ok so your bald tyre quip was based upon personal observance of a miniscule percentage of vehicles in Thailand.
  17. Wasn't it initially legalised for medical use only.... and then the country just took the piss and turned it into a free for all with weed shops opening on mass ?
  18. Thankfully that lunacy disappeared approx. 8 months ago in manufacturing.
