  1. Hi

Our back office system is written in VB6.

I use a control from OstroSoft to send out HTML emails and it works very well for standard emails.

Today I've been trying to create an HTML email for customers that has two Form buttons in it. All looks well when you look at the email but the buttons don't work. When I look at the source code everytime there is an = sign it has =3D (some hex. character?). This seems to be corrupting the button code and the destination URL's can't process what is being sent to them (one thinks that I'm using the GET method whereas the code clearly states POST.

A real stretch here, but has anyone used this control and know of any settings that I should be using but am not?

    Thanks

    Mick

  2. Monkey: Anyone who makes a comment like "I cannot accept this culture on principle?" Sounds like they shouldn't bother living here (10 years myself). Go home sounds like an appropriate move for you. Stop wasting your time with these 'complicated' people as you see it. In business, married (7th Anniversary today), kids at school. I've never had a communication problem worthy of mentioning. I'm sure that Thai people find us as confusing as we find them at times.

  3. Hi

I have a SanDisk Cruzer Mini 2.0 gb thumb drive that I've been using for about a year to back up our office database.

Everything has been working fine and from time to time I've copied back files. All-in-all it has been great. Until today.

I really need to get access to a file on the drive but today I get an error message saying that Windows cannot install the device properly.

One of the things I like about it is that it has password protection on it so carrying our database around in my pocket felt (kind of) secure.

Now I only get a blank drive letter with no folders displayed.

Does anyone know how I can get access to the folders on this drive?

    Any ideas gratefully received.

    Mick

PS Any recommendations for a small, secure, thumb drive that has password protection?

  4. I know this guy really well (went to school together). He is a bit nuts at times but I find it hard to believe that he actually punched someone. He must have been really out of it. No excuses (stupid bastard!). He always pops a sleeping tablet or something to get through a long flight without smoking (he smokes A LOT) sounds like some pills didn't agree with the booze he took (just a guess).

See what happens today when he's in court.

(and no, he's not a terrorist, just a <deleted> head the ball)

  5. Hi

When I was using an O2 phone I bought some handy Thai dictionary software that allowed my to type words into it using either Thai script or English and it would translate to the other language.

Now I'm using a Nokia N95 I cannot find any software that does the same thing that runs on this phone.

Has anyone out there got any software that runs on Sumbian/Nokia operating system?

    Thanks

    Mick

  6. thanks sbk and totster.

Really strange result. When I clicked SBK's link a new tab opened up and, without me doing anything, all images are displayed now when I browse the forums. When I use this tab I still cannot see any images. (I mean all images as in "go to the top of the page", "report post", "quote post" etc...any way I'll close this tab and continue with the other one.

    Thanks.

  7. I'm jealous of you guys. The best I can do at the moment is get about 75% through the subtitles at the bottom of the UBC screen before they disappear and scanning through my wife's copy of Cosmo trying to match the name in Thai to the (Hollywood) actor (and looking at the pictures, obviously).
