Hi
Our pet cat fights every cat he sees when he gets out and has come home needing stitches one time.
The other day he started another fight and when my mother tried to pick him up he bit and scratched her very badly - all up her arms and a deep cut on her hand that required two stitches at the local hospital. I have two little girls and I'm afraid that he'll scratch them at some point.
I know that she shouldn't have stepped in or if she did she should have thrown a towel over him before trying to pick him up. That aside, what should I do?
Would having the cat neutered calm him down?

Regarding the age of concent and the poor victim of this predator...see http://www.avert.org/aofconsent.htm (note point 14 at the bottom of the page)

I've got a 2001 Kia Carnival. Two kids + nanny + wife + me. Loads of room and much more comfortable than the Fortuner. Middle row seats turn around for long journeys so that they can all chat while I do the driving. For a family car it's the best I've driven. I know that it's not a sexy thing - actually looks querky, but it's really comfortable.

Delaney's or Shenanigans can't remember.

My two (4,6) are pretty much fluent in Thai and English. The nanny has taught them lots of Burmese words and the 6yo has started learning Chinese at school. They seem to take it in their stride and I'm jealous.

It has been a few years now but I got an Irish passport for my daughter. Pretty easy as I remember it. A visit to the Irish Consulate (now in Q-House, Sathorn soi 1). As I remember it you have to present your Irish passport at the consultate but I think that they just took a photocopy. (I could be rong there.)

Here's a second picture. I obscured the sun with my George Best five pound note to see the colours of the halo a bit clearer...
-
Yes, thanks Totster looks like what I'm seeing right now outside. Weird. I searched for "Ring around the sun" on Google and it was suggested that a hurricane was on the way. Sure that's a load of old boll...s

OK, here's the picture... (the ring is more defined than my camera can represent - shooting directly into the sun)

I got an excited call from my wife around midday today asking me to go outside and take a look at the sun. I took this picture:
Still there (12:15)
I'll upload the picture when I find out how to.

Sentenced to death plus 20 years. That's a bit rough.

It's quite On Nut, but, if you go up On Nut until you get to Srinakorin and turn right then go down Srinakorin until just passed The Seri Center. On the opposite side of the road is Memories Pub. I really like this pub. Pool table outside and packed every night that I've been there with a Thai young crowd. Live music, food (not great) and plenty of cold beer. It's quite a distance from where you are (OP) but, if you're bored it's well worth a visit.
-
You can also pay at a 7/11 pay point. Scan in the reciept into your PC and email it to UBC (did that last night 9:30 as we had been cut off). Switched me back on straight away.
-
I know that this is the Pattaya forum, but next time you're in Bangkok you could try the 5th floor of Seri Center on Srinakorin. It's called something like Aqualibra (or Aqua...something).

Even better, learn to appreciate football (soccer to you). If football is watched and played all around the world then there must be something in it to entertain us. If you can't get into football then the slingbox is what you need to do.

A kid at my kids school is nicknamed 'Password'. Weird.

Ditto what Mike said. I went last Monday (arrived at 1:50 - nothing open). Not much to do there really (with 4 and a 5 year olds). The kids little ferris wheel and carousel where right out in the sun so the wee ones were sweating when the rides finished. Won't go back there until there are more rides available. The big wheel and rollercoaster looked really well made. Strong. As Mike said - maybe it's an evening venue for older kids.

I've been going since Delaney's too. Sounds like the next version will be great. Look forward to the opening. Tan's great.
Surprising how many people go there regularly. I probably see them every week and don't know who they are. Weird.

Thanks Tywais. I can see a couple of poker games there now.

Hi
I was enjoying playing poker in the Arcade yesterday but I can't seem to see the links anymore.
Have they been removed?

Good man Mike. Post a report if you go. Sounds like somewhere else to take the kids (phew!).

Congratulations Garro. Similar thing happened to us with our first. Had scans and the doctor says "It's a boy" had the baby and she's a girl. (lovely girl too).

Thanks Priceless. I think that he's going to visit the vet this week then. I thought that neutering was the correct step and googled it but I guess that, being a bloke myself, I needed a 'second opinion' before going down this path for the poor cat...
