Will new XBB strain cause COVID to resurge in Thailand?
MrJ2U replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Or maybe you have to be treated at a hospital and spend north of 500,000 baht in a week. Insurance won't cover COVID costs if you are not vaccinated. -
Try and tell that to PEA. Unfortunately they'll just look at you with eye's wide open while you explain that. Worth a try though with a fluent Thai Madam.

Definitely be more efficient. Good luck! At least you still have power!

tell that to the new variant. He never got the memo. "Subvariants BQ.1 and BQ.1.1 derived from omicron covid variant BA.5, and news outlets cover the rise of them across the country and worries that they may create a surge in cases this winter." https://khn.org/morning-breakout/covid-bq-1-variant-rising-now-constitutes-10-of-us-cases/ "Scientists were worried about a particular COVID variant this fall. They didn’t expect its offspring." https://fortune.com/well/2022/09/21/scientists-watching-centaurus-omicron-covid-variant-offspring-immune-evasion-monoclonal-antibodies-fall-winter-surge-forcast-model-prediction/ -

For antivaxxers it's really to late. The newer Bivalent boosters will only be available for people who've already had the initial vaccines. Whether or not your obese or perceive yourself as perfectly healthy it was wise to get vaccinated if you are around people: (It's unlikely being a falang you'll find available original vaccines even if you chose to). "If you haven’t been boosted in the last couple of months, this is a great opportunity to be better protected,” Dr. Murray says. “Deciding on timing has a lot to do with your own health profile as well as that of those around you. If you're with people who could become quite sick if you transmitted it to them, even if you had mild disease, that is something to consider.” https://www.yalemedicine.org/news/omicron-booster-covid-19 Hopefully this won't be as deadly as the Delta variant. -

It's a bloody pandemic and I and other people want to be informed. Putting your head in the sand and pretending news variants of the potentially deadly virus isn't important is just plain ridiculous. -

I think you're one of the few people who are fearful of information. This isn't Iran where you can just shut down and control news and information thankfully. -

There's still probably over 20,000 case's a day in Thailand. In our village everyone is sick after this weeks Buddha festivities. It's inevitable in Thailand, especially Issan where hygiene isn't very good and sharing utensils and one tin drinking cup is common. Most houses only have one or two rooms for big families so forget any isolation. I haven't heard of any deaths but some are very ill. -
Good luck. Thanks for letting me know.

Chiang Mai selected as World Festival and Event City for 2022 by IFEA

I find that fascinating. Traveling around Thailand during the Pandemic was almost unreal. Great deals to boot! -
Definitely people want to learn. Usually the girls. It's usually a few boys who end up messing up the entire class. Most private schools will put these disruptive kids in a class together. That way the majority of kids can learn while the school still gets a lucrative money stream from the problem kids.

Definitely. And all that intense sun on the gaskets and you'll eventually have a leak during monsoon season.
