Thai police in massive debt - they owe 270 billion baht
MrJ2U replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News Headlines
Good question. 7%-8% is ridiculously high interest rate for a secured personal loan from a private bank. -
Probably the smaller ones. We usually stay at the Marriotts,Hiltons, Avani/Anantara's as there proper resorts. There just better maintained, service orientated, and an overall better experience in my opinion. Theres certainly nice Thai run hotels though. We just haven't had the luck of staying in one.

Hotel.com,Booking.com,etc.are really handy. I prefer booking directly most of the time for rewards and changes are easily taken care of when you're dealing directly with the hotel. Your also more likely to get upgrades in my experience. That said, I just booked Centre Point Korat on Hotels.com because it was 180 baht cheaper than their promotion on there website. Great hotel if you're in Korat or passing through. Happy New Year!

Thailand encounters challenges in supplying Corona vaccines
MrJ2U replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News Headlines
You won't have a choice. Theres not enough vaccines once again. You most likely wouldn't be lucky enough in any case to get an mRNA vaccine unless you've previously paid for one. -
World famous Khaosan Road closed temporarily after Covid cases found
MrJ2U replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
I've got a load of Hilton points to use. We'll play it safe and order room service. It's only a 20 minutes drive to the hospital from the Millennium. Its also a nice break for my wife and I. Stay safe! -
World famous Khaosan Road closed temporarily after Covid cases found
MrJ2U replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Going to Bangkok next week for a booster. I think it's going to get worse if whats happening in the rest of the world is a gauge. Hopefully the Hilton's prices may drop. -
Insightful post. Perhaps a harbinger of things to come.

World famous Khaosan Road closed temporarily after Covid cases found

Honestly don't think many people were actually going. The two times I've been dragged down there lately it was pretty slow. Pretty drastic to close an entire street. -

55 million of those vaccines were of the Chinese variety. Hardly worth counting. -

So right on! He's started that blame game in a speech this evening from his subsidized military mansion. -
Hospitals around the country told to prepare for surge in cases

That was nice of her. -
...and get duped into staying at a hospital incurring ridiculously high priced substandard hospital care.

Your going to need to phone private hospitals and ask for the international department. You may have to travel a bit. Im finally getting a booster of Moderna next week. I have to travel from Issan to Bangkok, a 10 hour's. Try Khon Kaen,Bangkok,or Pattaya. They seem to have vaccines available to anyone occasionally. You'll need to Google private hospitals Thailand. As usual Thailand has dropped the ball, with Anutin the lead Ball dropper. Good luck

I wonder how many booster shots are actually available? Bangkok and Chonburi seen to be the only somewhat reliable places to get boosters, occasionally. Nothing much about boosters here in Sakon Nakhon. Big news yesterday about 200 booster shots available at Vibhavadi. Thats pretty bad. This is all a more baloney to cover there once again poor management of vaccines. Getting booster's outside to the general public is once again a complete mess.

Rajavithi Hospital Allowing Walk-in Pfizer Vaccinations While Supplies Last
MrJ2U replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
That should cover 15 minutes. Probably be over by the time you find a parking space. 200? Anutin bragging about how everyone can get vaccinated, 3 or 4 vaccines if they want. Everyone knows he's full of Sh**.
