  1. I'll be stopping two nights in Khon Kaen November 20-22. If you haven't resolved anything by then. I'd be happy to see if there is a store there and if they actually carry rattan furniture. Take some pics etc. I'll need an address and name.
  2. Similar thing happened to us. My wife and I eventually went directly to the shop in question and made a hell of a scene. We had the reciept and we're going to get the local police involved. I think his mother or other family member came down and paid us by the end of the day. Same thing, excuse after excuse. I don't care if he's on his death bed, I want the work done or my money back. Next time definitely no money upfront with Thai workers or products.
  3. [Thailand News App] Nation Thailand: Constitutional Court rules Prayut can stay on as PM https://www.nationthailand.com/thailand/politics/40020589
  4. 10*10 coming up. I'm paying month to month. About 300 baht a month, 3000 a year. I definitely need to Chang that!
  5. Where did you purchase the Sim card? Lazada, store, etc. Seems a very good deal.
  6. Yes, my wife burst my bubble already. Not much of a deal!
  7. Especially watching golf!
  8. Smart dog. I miss the condo life!
  9. I have to I've got kids, wife, a dog. Lots of streaming, game playing, etc. I couldn't survive without Wifi.
  10. Don't you have WiFi at your house/condo. I usually use a "Hotspot" on my phone if I'm traveling and even then the hotels have WiFi.
  11. Yes, always check out the promotions on the providers website or call them. Packages are always changing. These days its all about the internet. Anyone, anywhere can call free on Line, what's App, or Skype. These days you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone or business that doesn't use Line. 100 minutes is fine for anyone who needs to call grandma or grandpa who doesn't understand the apps.
  12. That's a good deal if you actually have "unlimited" data. I'm paying 249 a month (TRUE)for 10 GB data 100 minutes talk a month. However I just saw this. I'll be calling them myself.
  13. I've always had anything with batteries returned. That includes very small watch batteries. I've also had electronic products returned that don't have batteries. They assumed it had a battery in it's because it had a plug. No refunds. You'll have to use Fedex, DHL, etc Expect prices to start at 2,ooo baht for small international packages.
  14. Always have a rush to do things in Thailand. It caused so many problems.
  15. My wife confirms that! Much more pleasant drive than monotonous rice fields.
  16. I would break it into a 4-5 day trip. Two day trip would be exhausting, especially all those kilometers through flat and boring Issan.
  17. Yeah! I miss having our kids around.
  18. He's waisted so much time for Thailand. He's literally dragging Thailand down with his ineptitude and ultra conservative boondoggles. Such a shame.
  19. Yes I know. The article mentioned he "could" face the death penalty. Of course that would be off the table if Canada we're to extradite it's citizen to Thailand. It's unfortunate that the Canadian wasn't more stealth. The "victim" wasn't really a victim and was a menace to society. I get your point though.
  20. Wash, rinse, repeat.
  21. That's the ironic thing. Many times you'll here of complaints made by That's or government officials more likely that a farang was got smooching on the beach, falang girls wearing revealing bikinis, etc. Ridiculous but it happens regularly.
  22. It's permitted if you're Russian and in Pattaya.
  23. Canada doesn't send people to countries that may enact the death penalty. They'll take into account that he may or may have not killed a convicted fugitive and known murderer that the government of Thailand was harboring. Perhaps the brainless law authorities in Thailand are unaware of this?
