  1. I was just about to comment on that. Who writes this rubbish "Who writes this rubbish" It seems that you (and Rooo) do.
  2. Sorry, but you cannot read... "The anticipated cost of his comprehensive treatment, including surgery and blood procurement, might reach into the hundreds of thousands of baht..."
  3. There has been no indication that there probably will be no one ending up facing serious legal consequence for that.
  4. Only amongst those trying to illegally import luxury items by not declaring them and avoiding duty.
  5. Isn't he inheriting in his home country, not Thailand, and then sending what will then just be his own funds here?.
  6. Thai inheritance laws would not apply as he would be inheriting under the laws of his home country, he'd just be remitting his own funds from his home country to his Thai bank.
  7. There is no officer in the OP. The person in the OP is a retired citizen who previously served as an officer. I'm aware of that, hence the inverted commas around the word "officer"! The person in the OP is a retired police officer.
  8. No, it does not. The pension payment will remain at the UK-received level and be frozen at that level if moving to Thailand, it would not be reduced.
  9. DWP requires proof that you are living in PI. Pension would not be "permanently updated" in any way from the Thailand level except that annual increases would then apply, but not backdated. If conning the DWP by those that DWP knows were living in Thailand and suddenly claim to be living in PI was that easy everyone would be doing it.
  10. Retail banking does not have a reputation for being particularly well-paid and hence no expectation of a particularly high pension.
  11. What gets me is that those people voluntarily chose to move to a frozen pension country despite all the warning information available and then whinge about it! Said as a frozen pension victim who made the choice.
  12. Apparently, he has been getting his state pension, hence the OP.
  13. Is the "officer" in the OP being given that leeway without consequences?
  14. its a joke sour puss! Jokes usually have an element of humour about them, I didn't see any, my deepest apologies.
  15. So you think that it is amazing to be able to afford a, likely, B250k car?
  16. Don't need much of a pension to have a B250/350k Merc.
  17. Possibly related to your perceived negative input to that person.
  18. I think you missed the point of most discussions about Thai Immigration. No, I did not, the point of most whinging about IOs is just that, Thai-bashing and whinging, when all that is going on is IOs doing their job of making sure those trying to enter Thailand are legitimate.
