  1. Talk about irrational exaggeration. I've just walked down Soi 13 and Sukhumvit to Asoke, didn't see any garbage, any filth, there were no sewers on display, didn't see a single rat and I wasn't scammed.
  2. I think it's more likely that they're laughing at your "another nail in the wall" [sic']! Brick in the coffin, perhaps?
  3. A toilet. In a bar. Or a restaurant. Or a pub. Or a hotel. Or the petrol station. Unless he was suddenly taken by surprise by an uncontrollable need to evacuate.
  4. You really think that the father of a boy Burrows was abusing would do that?
  5. Very easy to get an arrest warrant against yourself. Non-compliance with a court order or non-payment of a fine for example. Doesn't necessarily make one a 'dodgy' person. "Doesn't necessarily make one a 'dodgy' person". I didn't say that it did! My point was that knowing a dodgy person such as Burrows is not illegal but having an arrest warrant for the offences of Burrows most certainly does make him a dodgy person.
  6. Nowhere did it report that he was living "in a packing crate".
  7. Not very likely that a man who knew that there was a warrant for his arrest (Burrows) would advise any government agency of his whereabouts just to get a pension and his impersonating Smith would make it very difficult for him to claim a state pension in Smith's name.
  8. Is the Phuket Go trying to get his friends in trouble? Even if they did know, how would that get them into trouble? It is not illegal to know dodgy people, even those with warrants.
  9. I got pulled over a few times in the 90's and was asked that question. Under GBP1000 no further questions, any amount over that and they start questioning the source and proof. All irrelevant to the OP that is asking about taking cash out of Thailand.
  10. Do you not think that there is a very strong possibility that the nonsensical title, "Leaving with 500 000 the in Cash" was just a one-letter typo and should have been... "Leaving with 500 000 thb in Cash"
  11. Exactly, but he has to ensure that he is not arrested before he gets to airport Immigration to pay the B20k fine.
  12. There are restrictions when carrying THB cash out of Thailand as per the Thai government website from which I quoted and to which I linked.
  13. I would say the risk of it being confiscated. He's not asking about restrictions when entering other countries, he's asking about limits when leaving Thailand.
  14. The maximum amount of Thai currency that can be carried out depends on your destination; the maximum cash permitted is B50,000 unless the destination country is Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Vietnam, Myanmar or Yunnan, China in which cases the limit is B2,000,000 but anything over B450k has to be declared on leaving. https://www.thailand.go.th/issue-focus-detail/009-010
  15. Nicely put. They're all part of the "We all know" gang.
  16. Which "kid"? The almost middle-aged Vorayuth isn't in Thailand, that's all that matters, his overseas location is irrelevant.
  17. Not exactly reasonable to expect a legitimate operation to provide advice FOC if it is waiving commission, as many professional advisory companies do.
  18. That would be true if their investment that built up the value of the policy over its term, was through an offshore provider (as they all are if introduced by foreign advisors here).
  19. Not legally, no, they/their company are supposed to be SEC registered and, obviously, would need a work permit.
