  1. Banks are not able to grant authority for third parties to access the cash of deceased customers, courts appointing administrators/'probate' do that.
  2. The bank was absolutely correct, administration/'probate' is required. On an account-holders death, that has to be reported to the bank which freezes the account. Any withdrawals after the death are fraudulent/theft, even if the account holder gave access details to a third party before his death.
  3. there is only one way to drive, that's the correct way You're right but to bang on about it, righteously, suggests that you have only ever driven the "correct way". Is that right, you have never, ever, deviated from the "correct way" and have never put a foot wrong? If you haven't, even though you may not have been involved in a fatal, you need to pull your neck in but the truthful answer is obvious.
  4. He's enquiring about a 1-year extension of his permission of stay, based on Thai child, not a visa. Gawd. I can read, I know what he wants...
  5. Not everyone is as much of a personification of perfection as you are. The 14-year old boys on a motorbike should not have been there at all but certainly should have been riding in a manner that did not cause the bike to lose control on the bend!
  6. Maybe they did. Perhaps other airlines were the ones not working co-operatively with TG. All airlines need to maintain a minimum spares stock level for the operation of their own fleet and won't lend/sell parts to the competition if it depletes their stock, possibly jeopardising their own flights.
  7. Does it matter...they weren't complaining about the accommodation, were they?
  8. "Dealed for"? That makes it sound as though it was more than the usual online vendor/buyer situation. poster may not be a native speaker ? Maybe, but his OP is written in near as dammit perfect English with no indication that he is not 100% au fait with the language.
  9. How does a foreigner help a Thai (guessing that she doesn't work) to get a mortgage in Thailand?
  10. "Dealed for"? That makes it sound as though it was more than the usual online vendor/buyer situation.
  11. You cannot do anything, the next move is his, but his case will not be very strong as long as there is evidence of your offer of a refund and his refusal...unless, of course, you were trying to defraud him! Perhaps he's trying to defraud you by screwing you for more money than he paid.
  12. Words out of his own mouth........ Yes, part of an interview in which he did not say that he "wants the US economy to crash". Thank you for confirming my comment. If you've got a clip in which he actually stated that "I want the US economy to crash", that'd be interesting.
  13. No, he has not said the he "wants the US economy to crash".
  14. You're getting him confused with that Joe Biden pot plant.
  15. It means that the police were unable to find him in that building. Very easy to understand what was written.
  16. Anyone who seriously thinks that has something seriously wrong with them
  17. ......gone up............. No, he says that it's stayed the same!
  18. What is the exception for GSB? Do they insure for higher amounts. I know foreigners can't open accounts with them, but my wife has considerable savings I'd like to protect from the Apocalypse. 100% deposit protection, unlimited. There are no restrictions on foreigners opening accounts with the GSB, except, maybe, the language.
