  1. You mean the "agenda of the puritanical regime" that allows alcohol to be bought in shops anywhere, permits restaurants to serve alcohol and makes no restrictions whatsoever on the consumption of alcohol by the individual? Right.
  2. Perhaps you need to be more attentive. What makes you say that 7-11 staff stole items from your bag? What are Thaivisa newbies coming to?
  3. Not true. What I posted is accurate. Import duty and VAT is due on any item that is assessable as in the case of this particular woman who was given a receipt for the duty. Why do you think that import duty is applied to items bought online for personal use?
  4. Why? They're advisories to police forces, that's all, no police force has to act on them. A Red Notice does not mandate that any country has to deport him and Interpol has no authority to instruct any country about who they should deport.
  5. Why? If the account is not in her name she will not be able to access the account unless there is written authority from the hospitalised account holder for her to do so.
  6. No, it has no merit as his wife's withdrawing of funds after his death would be illegal.
  7. Terrible suggestion bearing in mind that your thoughts about the legality of that action are correct.
  8. If she withdrew any money after his death it would be fraud. Accounts have to be frozen on the death of the account holder.
  9. The will can appoint the executor, there's no reason, normally, for probate to take months.
  10. Thai banks do not decide probate, you need a will to do what you're asking about. On being advised of the death of an account holder the bank, by law, has to freeze the account.
  11. Is there actually a red notice out for him then? Other that the empty words of corrupt officials we have absolutely no positive proof that this is the case. "...we have absolutely no positive proof that this is the case". "We" don't need proof that there is or isn't a Red Notice, do we? They said there is one, it's up to you whether you believe that or not. No one has to prove it to Thaivisa posters. If there is, or there isn't, what difference does it make? Red Notices do not enforce anything or compel authorities to do anything, they're only advices.
  12. Being subject to a Red Notice doesn't give any authorities the right to send him anywhere and certainly not the first flight to Thailand. They may refuse him entry, in which case he could then go wherever he wanted to go. The police could detain him if they had any interest in that, such as there being an extradition request from Thailand but he sure wouldn't be going anywhere were that was a risk.
  13. Then they do what? He's not wanted anywhere except Thailand.
  14. Utter nonsense also. Interpol has said on many occasions that not every Red Notice is detailed on its publicly available wesbite, it doesn't need to be as member countries' police forces do not get their Interpol advices from a public website!
  15. My guess is that he's not "hiding" and is walking around in plain sight and ignored by authorities as is benefited by someone who is not wanted by any authorities, anywhere, except Thailand.
  16. What's the relevance of that? He could call his family 100 times a day and use his bank account just as frequently but, so what?
  17. Then what happens when you find him? Serious question.
  18. He'll have no sleeping soundly issues in Austria, or anywhere else, he's not wanted anywhere except Thailand!
  19. Yes, so once they are there what do you propose that they do? They have no jurisdiction there!
  20. What should be of more concern to the RTP is their lack of jurisdiction anywhere except Thailand!
  21. So the RTP think they they have some jurisdiction in Austria? What would they do if they found him, he's not wanted for anything in Austria.
  22. No country pulls you aside and taxes the watch, purse,or phone your wearing or have on your body. Yes, they do, they all do if they suspect that the new, very expensive item they can clearly see, may have been purchased abroad and that the owner, returning from a country where those items are know to be less expensive, may be trying to avoid import duty!
