  1. N.B. I am only interested in the above
  2. "...has been used unfairly in the past to deny claims". Really? Do you have one evidence-backed specific example of that "fact"?
  3. It wasn't. Otherwise how would they know about it. If you hadn't disclosed it they could find out about it without much difficulty from your medical records that you gave them access to when you signed up for the policy.
  4. They're neither "ruses" nor "easy get outs", they are conditions that are always laid out in the policy conditions to be read.
  5. "The exclusions and get out clauses written into healthcare polices...". And they are all disclosed in the policy so the potential insured has the opportunity to decline the offer of cover before agreeing to the policy.
  6. who knows but insurers can find out when checking with the hospitals of high blood pressure, so even if undeclared still pre-existing Yes, and if there is a record of that issue in his medical records he should have disclosed it at renewal.
  7. "...it seems they can exclude coverage for just about anything..." Of course, they can, and all the exclusions will be listed in the policy document. No one is forced to accept any policy if you don't like the exclusions.
  8. Was that something that you failed to disclose to the insurer? Any false declaration, or failure to disclose. could void the entire policy
  9. I wonder if he disclosed his pre-existing hypertension to his insurer at inception or renewal?
  10. Usually only when there are associated pre-existing conditions. Heart and stroke treatments are not automatic exclusions from health insurance policies, in general.
  11. The Bangkok Post ran that article also. We are allowed to mention the Bangkok Post!
  12. Where do suppose they stay once arrested and waiting to appear in court, the Ritz hotel? IDC, obviously, but not for an indeterminate time (as claimed by dddave) which was my point.
  13. There are relatively small fines for late filing or non-filing. The auditor is one of those who can be fined so just let her get on with contacting the shareholders and winding up the company. You cannot wind it up, neither can you be penalised.
  14. It's not your (7-year dormant) company so it's not your liability or responsibility, no need for you to get involved in someone else's company. Leave it to the remaining shareholders to sort out and pay the fines, it's their problem now...unless you've inherited your wife's shares, of course.
  15. Those arrested do not just get thrown in IDC for an indeterminate period, they appear in court and get a specific sentence that is usually a fine and deportation, not imprisonment in IDC. Detention only happens until the fine is paid.
  16. To my understanding both sale and purchase/possession without a script is illegal. Though in practice it seems to mainly be the customer who sometimes face consequences. No idea what "Sandboxer" is. Sandboxer is the OP. It seem that you're saying that the illegal street sellers (that the OP is buying from) don't face consequences while the buyers do. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me, do you have any examples such incidents? I don't believe that buying from street vendors (some/a lot/most of which is dodgy) is likely to get the buyer prosecuted.
  17. Wow. You make it appear as though it has happened to you more than once, do you not think that, perhaps, it's you who's enraging?!
  18. You need a new doctor. What is the incidence of those "flu-like" symptoms (a cold?) in very cold climes - symptoms such as sudden onset of fever, dry cough, headache, muscle and joint pain, severe malaise, sore throat and runny nose that are not caused by low temperatures in a car. You continue to respond to my comments so be careful with the troll accusations, everything that I have posted is factual, the non-credible claims (trolls) are coming from you.
  19. I was wondering where I'd get my daily laugh from...thanks for providing it. You are a poster of mirth. Aren't I just!
  20. Keep up. I've already corrected myself. I know, I know...couldn't be arsed correcting myself. I apologise for my tardy observation of the thread's contributions.
  21. Thanks for your opinion (and congratulations on knowing what day it is) but I wasn't trying to entertain you so whether you find my comments to other posters boring or otherwise is of no consequence.
