  1. "...when they did go to work none of them paid tax". More nonsense. Personal income tax revenue in Thailand for 2022 was around B380,000,000,000.
  2. "This is a common story". I doubt that what your tale asserts is a common story.
  3. That is not what the proverb actually is but, regardless, your amended version of it is actually an ancient Thai proverb, not necessarily one that is followed these days. That says it all.
  4. That's a criminal offence, is it? Which section of the Thai Criminal Code covers that offence?
  5. What would prevent you from depositing it in your own Thai account?
  6. The ads ensue that the forum exists. If the ads weren't there your free entertainment wouldn't be there, either.
  7. Jesus, the hypocrisy. You've been bashing those who use emojis as a way of expressing opinions, so why don't you take your own advice and "take what you feel is helpful, and disregard the rest"?! As you also wrote, readers have the right to read opinions, and make their own opinion from it.
  8. This is comically stupid. And that comment was comically ironic, Sluglord!
  9. "Nothing of any real value is posted any more". Your post being the perfect example of that! Well done!
  10. "...ban them from this site." "...to remove the idiot from the site". Why would you suggest that if you are being rational? How does using a facility provided by the forum make the users "idiots" and why should they be "banned from the site"? Is it because you don't approve of other members' opinions that they see some of your comments as "confusing" or "sad"? If you want to ban members from the forum for using a forum facility to express their opinions of your comments wouldn't it be fair for you to also be banned from the site for expressing your opinions? Perhaps your opinions are better or more justified than those of everyone else?
  11. Was the irony in your comment intentional?!
  12. Because as you rightly indicate, they are 'stupid'. No, I did not indicate that they are "stupid", I used that word quoting you, you said "these stupid emoticons"!... "
  13. It did happen not so long ago but, due to popular demand, had to be re-introduced with extra emojis. Why do the "stupid", anonymous emojis bother you so much, who cares about what other AN posters think of your posts, they're only AN members, after all!
  14. "For those who think that they know everything" try to deposit cash in a Krungsri CDM on Silom Road, Bangkok, and you'll be able to do so with your card.
  15. Louie, it's the law, as of 11 Nov 2023. Maybe the rollout of the new ATMs/software is slow, but eventually it will be everywhere. I asked in all of my banks, and was told that foreigners must now go to a teller and provide their passport...not even a passport copy. Walkerie, the law that was introduced now prevents unidentified cash deposits that, up to then, could be made just using an account number. I didn't need to ask Krungsri staff, I just used the CDM on Silom that was happy to welcome me, my ATM card and my cash. Last week.
  16. Apparently you are in a different Thailand than I am, or you are not in Thailand at all. No, I'm in the same Thailand and I deposited cash in a Silom Road, Bangkok, Krungsri CDM last week using my ATM card and PIN that identifies me.
  17. "...they now must enter their Thai ID #". But foreigners just have to enter their PIN and use their ATM card. It is the law and it is for anti-money laundering purposes.
  18. How come I (a foreigner) can deposit cash into my account using a CDM and my ATM, then? Did it again last week using an on-street Krungsri CDM. A Thai ID is not required.
  19. That is incorrect, foreigners can use CDMs with their ATM card. No requirement to make a counter deposit.
