  1. With the exception of the Phuket taxi woman article, the reports of which have, so far, not been proven to be totally inaccurate!
  2. There ya go - Bht1250/kg and no guarantee of size or quality. What do you mean, "there you go"? The OP asked where he could get artichokes...I told him. If you don't approve of them you can refuse them on delivery.
  3. Yes, you were wrong. You should have read the article that you linked to before posting it. Technically, yanking on the handbrake while turning the steering wheel of a FWD car produces a very brief "drift" but that is nothing more than momentary oversteer. If proper drifting was possible in FWD cars professional drift drivers would use them...and they don't!
  4. There you go again. If she was taking fare-paying passengers she would have no cover at all, normal car insurance does not provide that cover. If she was a Bolt or Grab driver she would not have been an illegal taxi driver and could not have been arrested and fined for that charge as those companies are legal in Phuket.
  5. Quite right but there is a chance that a licenced taxi will be insured, there's guaranteed zero chance that the woman impersonating a taxi/taxi driver would have insurance if she was taking fare-paying passengers.
  6. And judging from the screenshot it was a front wheel drive car so it couldn't have been much of a drift, more like just yanking the handbrake on while steering right and momentarily oversteering.
  7. "" Don't you just love people who find their own comments utterly, uproariously hilarious and then reward themselves with an utterly daft emoji?
  8. Any idea what level of insurance Phuket TukTuks, Motorcycle Taxi's, Baht Busses and Regular taxis carry ??? No idea, same as you, but they are required to have insurance - she definitely would not have any for "hire and reward"!
  9. You forgot to mention that he would require money to do that. He's trying to to find a way to make money, not invest what he hasn't got. EDIT: Just read his subsequent post, it seems that he does have investment money after all!
  10. As Bolt is legal in Phuket, how could she be arrested and fined for being a legal taxi?
  11. Those who have no problem being driven in uninsured, illegal vehicles may well be stupid enough to patronise her.
  12. How about reading the article? She was not a licenced taxi driver, she was doing it illegally, why should illegal taxis be allowed to compete with licenced taxis?
  13. Obviously, not. If she was a licenced Bolt driver she would not have been arrested and fined for being an illegal taxi driver.
  14. Stated crackdown on foreign criminals operating here. This news item is about some criminals. So, as I stated, their visa and TM30 status are irrelevant. Either, they have visas or they don't and. either way, their visa (and especially TM30) situation has no effect, whatsoever, on the case.
  15. No, you just have to read the article. The Russian brothers weren't the attackers.
  16. Did you met Ben Dover? Did I "met" Ben Dover? There's another one of those comments...what does "Did you met.." mean?
