  1. Private businesses should be there solely as a convenience to the general public - they should not be profit making enterprises? Since when?
  2. "...why would anyone leave surplus cash in Thailand". Maybe because they live in Thailand and don't have a Santander account? They also only made applications available for a maximum of 14 days, probably less.
  3. As an over-generalisation your comment has no merit without something to back it up. You already got the commission aspect ridiculously wrong. Private pension plans, per se, are not "scams"
  4. Yes he was carrying an Australian Passport I know, that's why I posted my comment.
  5. You're right, of course, park in the disabled spot so that the disabled can park nearer to the door because an able-bodied person doesn't give a shlt. AN poster logic for excusing his discourteous behaviour at its best.
  6. What does "germananic" [sic] mean? Did you get something else wrong...again?
  7. They had his passport and they reported the death to the Australian embassy...most likely he was Australian. You always get it wrong.
  8. Presumably in a week's time they will tell you but have you asked them? They do have a call centre,
  9. Maybe those cars needed a parking space as much as you did? Were you able to medically examine their drivers and passengers?
  10. There is no other parking Are there no streets in your area? What would you do if all the mothers with children and handicapped spaces were taken, then?
  11. "Some truly saddening pics, I guess by the fact that they are straddling the bays that they know full well what they are doing and think that this is some kind of excuse for their behavior". "I am not disabled but have needed to use the parking from time to time. I try to park close to the store, leaving the bays free for people who need them more than I but if I do have to use them I'm really happy I have the opportunity to" Jesus...your screaming hypocrisy.
  12. Are you disabled and if not why do you do that? Can't you walk to the 7-11 from your parked car and give mothers and children and handicapped customers the courtesy that 7-11 clearly believes they deserve?
  13. Did they have allocated handicapped parking when you chose to move in?
  14. As I said, I sympathise but they are private businesses and there are no laws covering parking in those areas, even if public laws did apply. What are "MB taxis", something relating to disabilities?
  15. Nonsense, unless it is an out and out scam, not backed by a regulated provider. They are paid commission (obviously) out of the amount invested but they do not take 50%. There are sensible reasons to be wary of dealing with them, though.
  16. I do not want to disparage IIMG but if that is a Thai/Thailand-based "company" using foreign "advisors" from offices here in Thailand, I'd be very careful before letting go of your money. It is not easy getting that sort of company registered with the SEC in Thailand (and they all have to be in order to be operating legally). You can check whether they are authorised on the Thai SEC's website and it would also be interesting to see whether the "advisor" has a work permit (he won't have). Their website doesn't even show that they have an office here...never a good sign. If you're happy with all that, go ahead.
  17. What has the quality or status of the cars or their insurance got to do with anything? All parked on private premises, presumably with the authority of the security staff. You may not like it (are you disabled?) but if they're told that they can park there (where there are plenty of other parking places in the same area) what has it got to do with you?
  18. No official "Disabled" badges are issued in Thailand, that's why they are never seen!
  19. You could be right but were you able to establish simply by looking at them that they, or one of them, were not suffering from some medical disability that was not visible to a casual observer such as, for example, a heart condition? Years ago in the UK I had a 38-year old friend who drove an XJS (not a Mobility vehicle) and was able to walk normally as far as any observer was concerned but he was granted a Disabled badge because he had a heart condition and he was subjected to abuse from people such as you who were ignorant to his circumstances when parking in those allocated places until they were able to see the badge. Disabilities are not always obvious.
  20. That is different. That is called a "bar fine". Anything else you want to know, feel free to ask me mate. Why should he ask someone who doesn't know the answers?
  21. That is different. That is called a "bar fine". A bar fine is not a charge for sex, it's a payment to the bar to allow the girl to stop working, nothing more. In Thailand the charge for sex is on top of the bar fine and that you pay directly to the girl.
  22. You think that they're obliged to accept the drinks or that they have to drink until they're legless?
