  1. Always best to ensure that you read your own links! From the same article, the insignificance is obvious... "The silver Honda Civic (shell SR 0.57) had a cabin air temperature of about 5-6°C (9-11°F) lower than an identical black car (shell SR 0.05). Overall, the numbers compiled in this car-color exercise found that using white or silver paint instead of black paint would raise fuel economy by 0.44 mpg (2.0 percent); would decrease carbon dioxide emissions by 1.9 percent, and reduce other automotive emissions by about 1 percent". A 5-6°C lower interior temperature (say 95° as opposed to 100°) in a car that's been in the tropical sun for an hour would not be noticeably cooler to anyone getting in the car!
  2. But it costs more to keep looking good. Yeah, that bucket of soapy water and a hose-down is so expensive.
  3. What about the windows that all all the same from where most of the heat comes?
  4. How many? A very unusual demographic that you're so familiar with.
  5. Yes, not cricket, at all, old boy.
  6. Have you ever seen that those black cars, that are glossy with light-reflecting glass, and red/white reflectors reflect the light from your headlights so that you can see them. If you, seriously, cannot see something as big and obvious as a car at night, black or not, then it's time for you to get your eyes checked.
  7. And most of it comes through the windows.
  8. Which manufacturers don't use clear coat and what makes you think that clear coat affects the interior temperature of cars?
  9. Aren't all cars here equipped with aircon, how can there be any significant difference when most of the heat comes in from the windows?
  10. Well, no question in your mind, that's all. The subject is the interior of cars, not whether "lighter colours are cooler", whatever that means.
  11. Do you know? No, I do not...same as you lot!
  12. Good stuff and my best wishes for a speedy recovery.
  13. The article clearly suggests that he was aware, that's why he did it.
  14. There's no BS in the full article and the events are described clearly to those who can read and comprehend English.
  15. He's still a rat and I rather doubr other inmates are given such 'entitlement's'. You're entitled to your opinion of him but you're wrong about other inmates not receiving hospital treatment outside of the Corrections Department. This is evidenced by the escape of a prisoner from a hospital on Sunday where he had been taken for dental treatment a few days earlier as reported.
  16. I am not a public figure who is hoodwinking an entire nation! Public figures have aright to medical confidentiality, not just you and I. Where, and by whom, has it been confirmed that there is "medical hoodwinking" going on? Bear in mind that speculation and hearsay count for less than nothing...as does "we all know".
  17. When influential people like Thaksin take advantage of their status and make a mockery of the law. You make that comment as though it is proven fact, not just speculation.
  18. You seem to be very protective of the rat. As repulsive as he and his actions may be, is Thaksin not entitled to the same medical information privileges as everyone else, i.e. it's confidential? Would you post your medical records here, if asked?
