Banned from using Food Panda for no reason
Liverpool Lou replied to elena edwards's topic in Chiang Mai
"Banned from using Food Panda for no reason" Food Panda told you that you were banned? Or are you just making that part up because your card wasn't accepted? You must have been a real PITA for them to ban you! -
Well, I don't know whether that's true or not although I doubt it. But if you block the number straight away they can't can they. They do, that's their job...if, as you say, they're not blocked.

Banned from using Food Panda for no reason

Bangkok Bank's activated debit cards are often rejected for online purchases for reasons best know to themselves and the retailers, it's not unusual. Use another card if you can or get Big C to deliver. Why are you negotiating with Food Panda? If Big C nominates them as the delivery company, Big C should be dealing with them. -
So what do I do when I expect a delivery, "...the OP is referring to unsolicited calls..." We're talking about unexpected calls from unknown numbers, why should a call from an expected delivery be an issue?
-
No, that's your decision to call back an unknown number, there's no "must" about it. If you're not expecting it then a call from a stranger without any follow-up explanatory text, by definition, was not that important. How many of those unsolicited and unexpected calls that you called back to turned out to be important? Edit: Yeah, yeah, I know, most if not all of them.
-
But all those calls are expected, the OP is referring to unsolicited calls which are not.
-
Then they call back later anyway hoping they get you in a more receptive mood!
-
But you never know if it IS an important call until you DO answer it. Important calls rarely come unexpectedly on unknown (local?) numbers. If the call is that important the caller will text to ask you to pick up, if they don't, it's not important.
-
Hit the red "reject call" and you'll never have to speak to them. Answering their calls is what they want, even if you just want to tell them to remove your name. They won't do that because they more than likely paid for the list that your name is on.

"Could there be any doubt that a person with Tubtim's connections would get special treatment in Thailand? Is it any surprise she was "on the run" in plain sight for 6 weeks?" Yes, plenty of doubt, she's not on the run in Thailand, she's under arrest in the US after arrest and extradition by the RTP and his/her "connection" clearly did not help her, she did not get special treatment and she was not in plain sight here, she was in hiding and on the move to avoid the police. Apart from that you were pretty much spot on!

Perhaps the family's secondhand version of events, designed solely to get money, isn't quite accurate and the other driver wasn't at fault.

Gary Lineker told to step back from presenting Match of the Day
Liverpool Lou replied to Scott's topic in World News
Actually, he may have weakened his case with HMRC with regards to his political tweeting as BBC employees are subject to impartiality rules. I'm not interested in (the irrelevance of) his dealings with HMRC to this topic. -

HMRC , the taxman, disputes that . He's avoiding paying tax by claiming that statues So what? That's completely irrelevant to the issue of his Tweets. "...claiming that statues" "Statues" [sic]?! Huh, which statues? -

Splitting hairs - when I employed contractors I employed contractors and they obeyed the rules of my organisation. End of. Don't think that you're the BBC, though, and it wasn't splitting hairs, there's a huge difference between being a BBC employee and having to follow its rules and anyone in Lineker's non-BBC-employee position. What is "end of" supposed to mean? -

Freelance or not he's employed by them and obeys the rules or... out. No, he is not employed by the BBC. He obeys the conditions of his contract. -

Notwithstanding that the post has been edited, mentioning nothing more than the name of the bank, which was not accused of any wrongdoing, was not defamation.
