I forgot how much you like to quibble. My commenting with facts is not "quibbling". The club was the "Club Khaosan", that was reported. The guards involved were Thongchai Saengchan and Krissada Chotechan, that was reported also. The name of the owner, that was not published, is irrelevant and I don't know the name of the cleaner who was on duty that day either. There has been no hushing-up of the incident.

Michael Knowles Says Transgenderism Must Be ‘Eradicated’ at CPAC
Liverpool Lou replied to onthedarkside's topic in World News
The Ultra Maga party controls the house and the majority of state governments. They are passing vicious anti LGBT laws all across the country. Yes that is government. Maybe you lack understanding of the US system. "The Ultra Maga party..." Doesn't exist. "They are passing vicious anti LGBT laws..." Such as? Specifically. Maybe you lack understanding of the US system. -
Congratulations but you'll always be a 'farang' and second-rate human in the eyes of Thais no matter how much you defend their culture. "...you'll always be a 'farang' and second-rate human..." 1. That's nothing more than your opinion, it's not factual. 2. I'm not trying to be "rated" or uprated. 3. Where have I "defended Thai culture"? 4. My comment was entirely factual.

The US government is not "trying to erase" anyone, nor any aspect of society, regardless of their leanings or predilections. -
It has been hushed up. The local businesses got together to make sure no names leaked out. The guards were sacked from their jobs to appease the man attacked and the authorities. It has not been hushed up, following media reports it's a subject here and in other publications, for God's sake, and, if it had been hushed up, it wouldn't be in the press that the American has announced the ongoing legal action against the attacker. How could you know that the sackings were just appeasement?

Ex-girlfriend tries to steal 10 motorcycles

Nonsense if he wasn't physically working in the company. Being a shareholder in a company on its own does not require a WP -

Kenny202,makes some important points--I am not sure why the majority here feel you (or all Farangs) should just give in these situations. I have seen people walk away from their life saving , saying I am a farang so I will loose. The Thai legal system works on trying to find common ground amongst litigants (a compromise) very few reach the court stage. The first stage of compromise is at the police station. Questions to the girl--could you show us where you withdrew from your Bank or borrowed the money from to buy all these bikes? etc will be asked. In front of Authority Thai's do not lie well. If a compromise cannot be reached there (I am sure it will be in your case) then goes to an adjudicator (I have been through all this a few times & watched friends cases also) you can call witnesses in for this --like the place where you brought the bikes/people who know of the situation, I would be fairly certain she would call no one in, because, expecting a "Lower Level" Thai to stand up in that situation and lie for a friend over this--no. The adjudicator then makes a Non Binding decision on who is in the right, he then usually gives a certain amount of days for you both to meet and make a comprise. If still no compromise then it goes to civil court--this happens very few times- but with his decisions already stated. The onus is really on the other person to agree. On the situation of you "Helping" out around the work place.... yes you shouldn't do that, But you didn't fall time work-just helped out. The whole idea was that you would purchase the bikes etc in her name, & she would run the place for a % of the profits until you both got married. However you kept seeing discrepancies in the money being taken which led to arguments and her leaving and now using these threat about ownership What? where did you get all that from...how come you "know" so much about the circumstances? -

Perhaps because he hasn't been back with any clarifying detail that would provide a basis for any other reaction. -

Actually, we created a motorbike rental business. She owned the business, and I helped create the business. Really? So you're the OP now...operating multiple accounts? -

No, he does not, owning (part-owning) a company does not require a work permit. Where did he say that he is working in the company such that he requires a WP? -

You cannot do anything as you have no bikes, what makes you think that you could be able to get her bikes? Whose bukes are you claiming she is stealing...are there others not registered in her name? -

There's more to Asean than just Thailand. -
Maybe one day someone will invent "the internet" and you'll be able to find out.

Can anyone identify this spider?
Liverpool Lou replied to BillStrangeOgre's topic in Plants, Pets & Vets in Thailand
"Can anyone identify this spider?" Looks like Incy Wincy. -
I thought I said I cant find the comment. I will look again. Or maybe I wont or cant be bothered, but its there somewhere on a page in a large document. "...its there somewhere...". I doubt it but if you can post that only local government hospitals can be used for treatment I will humbly apologise. Insurers usually limit their liability in terms of maximum monetary claim levels, not where the treatment takes place.

Why should that be an issue when you have 16 weeks to return the completed Life Cert? I posted mine by registered mail on the 2nd February and it was delivered to the IPC/DWP on the 13th...that's 11 days, at least 13 weeks leeway.
