  1. You should have prepared more diligently but thanks for confirming what I posted, i.e. those (typically agricultural) tractors do not carry loads, the one you pictured is towing a trailer that is carrying a load. Tractors, not tractor-trailers, do not cary loads.
  2. I doubt that she'll ever forget your indicating that you do not trust her. Well done! The transfer fee is 2%, doesn't matter who it is being transferred to.
  3. Well if we fell out I would have little claim to my investment as I have seen in the past in Thailand. I would be out on my ear If the land was in your son's name you wouldn't have any claim to it either if you "fell out". If she wanted you out on your ear, out on your ear you'd be, either way.
  4. Nonsense. How is it affecting those who aren't committing offences?
  5. No, it is not your "being taxed", neither is it a charge "to be allowed back into the country", it is paying for a service that ensures the continued validity of your extension. Get a multiple re-entry permit and you'll only pay once. Other countries' immigration requirements are irrelevant.
  6. You posted that it has already been done? Are you now going to transfer it to your son for another fee or you're just checking the honesty of your wife? How does the "Iraqi" come into it?
  7. Best is to just don't answer those type of calls, or reject them, no one has any need to answer calls from unknown "international" numbers.
  8. 'Silver' sixpence was the norm, surely?
  9. Have you ever been to Nepal? What's the relevance of your question?
  10. Yes they do, you can see the remains of the trailer last photo left and side ,the trailers are cut down 10 wheel trucks with a draw bar on ,a tractor can haul 15-20 ton of cane. I referred to tractors, such as that one being repaired at the side of the road in the OP, not tractor-trailers. The former are primarily agricultural vehicles that do not carry loads, the latter are load-carrying commercial vehicles.
  11. Reported couple of days ago. Read before you comment I asked a question, it wasn't a comment. Read before you comment like that.
  12. ????shocked! just this morning on the Asean before this one. What is "the Asean"?
  13. Thanks for that...but it's not law.
  14. Because a visa isn't a guarantee of entry nor a waiver of any questions from an IO whose job it is to do exactly what occurred in your case. The IO is the person who decides if you're going to be stamped in, not a Thai embassy issuing a visa..
  15. Not enough demand from the retail shops is my guess as only a few foreigners will be buying it and I doubt that there are that many who want the palaver of roasting a turkey.
  16. To Thailand Why? There are no outstanding charges against him here
  17. have you ever been to Nepal? Have you ever considered that an elderly foreign prisoner requiring treatment for a heart condition who has served 19 years out of his 20-year sentence probably would not have to bribe anyone?
  18. What is the "British Thai Embassy" [sic]?
  19. Whilst I agree with you, instead of demanding a ticket, it might be wiser to politely ask for one? ...or just tell the officer that you have no cash then he'll have to issue a ticket.
  20. I couldn't care less, OJAS, "take" whatever you like, that's your choice, as it is mine to post whatever accurate comments I choose here.
  21. That's just your opinion of my 100% accurate comments.
  22. I'd guess that she's just attempting to lean out of the photo that's being taken.
