  1. Because a visa isn't a guarantee of entry nor a waiver of any questions from an IO whose job it is to do exactly what occurred in your case. The IO is the person who decides if you're going to be stamped in, not a Thai embassy issuing a visa..
  2. Not enough demand from the retail shops is my guess as only a few foreigners will be buying it and I doubt that there are that many who want the palaver of roasting a turkey.
  3. To Thailand Why? There are no outstanding charges against him here
  4. have you ever been to Nepal? Have you ever considered that an elderly foreign prisoner requiring treatment for a heart condition who has served 19 years out of his 20-year sentence probably would not have to bribe anyone?
  5. What is the "British Thai Embassy" [sic]?
  6. Whilst I agree with you, instead of demanding a ticket, it might be wiser to politely ask for one? ...or just tell the officer that you have no cash then he'll have to issue a ticket.
  7. I couldn't care less, OJAS, "take" whatever you like, that's your choice, as it is mine to post whatever accurate comments I choose here.
  8. That's just your opinion of my 100% accurate comments.
  9. I'd guess that she's just attempting to lean out of the photo that's being taken.
  10. Serving 19 years of his 20 year sentence was likely part of it not paying bribes!
  11. Thailand has nothing to extradite him for, statute of limitations expired long ago.
  12. The main reason is because he's served 95% of his 20-year sentence.
  13. And he's served 19 of his 20 year sentence.
  14. Up to 20 years SOL, depends on the punishment.
  15. It says on the back page '' Her Majesty's government'' not HIS Majesty just saying. Note 5 on the Notes page of Series B passports states that "the passport remains the property of the Crown...". the back page of the passport is the page for emergency contact details.
  16. ...but current passports still refer to "Her Majesty".....I wonder how much stock they have - just how long did they expect her to live...... Is the coronation a factor. All these questions, and more...???? "...but current passports still refer to "Her Majesty"". They also refer to the passport being the property of the Crown.
  17. No, he hasn't, he used his Thai card with no problems or special authorisation/activation. It's blindingly obvious that cards must be valid for any proposed transaction, that does not mean that Thai cards are likely to be invalid/unusable for a UK payment. Do any Thai banks issue Visa/Mastercard cards that are not valid for payments outside Thailand, OJAS? Perhaps you've overlooked that aspect of modern banking.
  18. UK passport are actually the property of the Crown, not necessarily the Queen.
  19. Not trying to split hairs, but all police are not immigration, like traffic cops for example? All IOs are RTP officers but not all RTP officers are attached to the Immigration Bureau, a department of the RTP.
  20. They have the right to ask for ID, if that is a passport they have the right to check it. IB officers are RTP officers.
  21. It has changed. You may need to check with the King.
