I have talked  to my friends who stay there often and they  just laugh  at the  stupid death island nonsense

Tell that to the parents of the two young adults who were raped and murdered by the mafia in 2014.

The murders were awful but the other 99.9% of tourists who had no issues at all during normal times would disagree.

Oh come on, if the comedy capper cops here can derive at a conclusion so quickly, it's only fair for us to do so equally so quickly, it just makes it more fun.

The thing is, the police haven't, it's only the (to use your words) "comedy caper" Thaivisa posters who are wrongly claiming that they have arrived at a final conclusion.

Pathetic isnt it? Police determined it was a tragic accident.

Of course they did, anything else would mean the lazy sods would have to do some work.

    spot on Colin!

...only "spot on" if you're unable to read what was actually reported in the (translated) story about the ongoing investigation and you don't bother to quote what was really stated by the police that their "determination"  was an "initial" one.

"Police have initially determined it was a tragic accident....Investigations continue".

Why twist what was actually reported?

There's always a few of every type of business operating illegally when they shouldn't be if you look hard enough.    Customers always have the choice of whether to risk being locked up if the place is raided or wait for something as important as a "Thai" massage until they're open legally.

No one is risking getting "locked up".

I know, it's a figure of speech, not intended to be taken literally but there is a risk of police charges (and fines)if you're a customer of a closed business that's breaking Covid restrictions.

    they are not operating illegally

They are if massage parlours are included in the list of businesses that are closed under Covid regulations.   That applies to those businesses in Bangkok at the moment which is why most of them are closed!

I found one, thanks. There are a few open.

Simple, he's not wanted in London or at any F1 events around the world.

Interpol doesn't detain anyone and their notices are only advisory to member police forces.  It's up to those countries to decide if there are grounds to arrest him in that country where he has not committed any offences.

    Expand

I thought that Interpol 'blue' notices were the advisory ones whereas the 'red' ones required a bit more action?

No, they're all advisories, no police forces are under any obligation to follow any of Interpol's notices.

NO i am not but then again your from a different area that I am from. Where i lived the police never pulled fast ones. Only real infractions were targeted. They did not need to make anything up. Enough people without a helmet.

So tell me how were you targeted and how did you lose your cash. I with a legal Thai DL and motorcycle have never been unfairly targeted neither in my car nor bike.

Well said, but, c'mon Robblok, you're making too much sense, that won't go down well and will just invite attacks from the irrational!
