Let me think die at 56 with lung cancer........or 86 in my sleep.......decisions, decisions.........
What makes you think that you're going to go peacefully in your sleep? You won't have the luxury of a choice when you time comes.

Over 800,000 administered in 2 days. One fatality. 0.001%. Not bad.
Over 800,000 administered in 2 days. Not one fatality confirmed as attributed to the vaccine. 0.000%, even better.

it's broken and they cannot fix it.
Says who?
What evidence is there that the "Diplomats" registration was broken and unfixable and that the current over-60s, etc., registration is "broken and cannot be fixed"?

YouTubers make money from subscriptions and Patreon.
YouTubers can make lots of money from the ads that interrupt their videos. Having subscribers does not, on it's own, make them any money and those without Patreon also make money...from the ads!

I simply asked for others here for their opinion.
Not trying to be dificult at all.
I know that but why would the opinions of Thaivisa posters about the qualifications to register have any relevance to, or be able to contradict, the facts that were clearly stated on the website?

Nobody has had an email thus far, nobody will have, it's just the latest in a long line of failures.
And how many days has the registration site been running? Not quite two days is the answer.
What period of time would you say is reasonable for them to sort out, probably, thousands of registrations and allocate appointments to those thousands of applicants?

So far, it has blocked all advertising videos, whether they start at the beginning, or in the middle of the video you are watching.
Since installation, I haven't seen a single video ad.
How can you know that there were any ads to block?!

I'll give up watching YouTube before I pay for it.
If you had a YouTube channel would you be happy to provide your content to everyone, free of charge and without receiving any income for it?
There is no reason for anyone to have a YT channel except as a source of income and the ads provide that revenue so that cheapskates (I'm not referring to you, obviously) who refuse to pay have something to occupy themselves with at other people's expense.

I refuse to pay.
Presently testing a new extension from Chrome.
Why? You expect the channel owner to provide you with free entertainment?

YouTube for some reason have decided to swamp posted videos with video ads. I'm seeing Lazada ads at the beginning, middle and end of a single video.
It's got so bad that some videos are virtually unwatchable.
I have tried to find a remedy for this, but nothing works so far.
Does anyone know a solution?
Yes, there's an answer, pay for Premium instead of whinging about ads that allow you to have free entertainment!

So everyone registering, or trying to, is over 60, and suffering from at least one of the seven "conditions"?
What about folks over 60, but NOT suffering from these conditions?
Wait?
Why do some people make it so difficult?
I registered based solely on age and reading what was there. Having one of those conditions is not a prerequisite to register. The website, clearly, says registration is (was) open to over-60s...comma, new paragraph...OR those with any of the listed conditions.

WRONG. As I've outlined meticulously in my post, the ONLY thing than matters is the immigration office that last stamped your extension of stay. NOTHING else matters. NOTHING.
What are you talking about and why are you telling me about it?

So hopeless that their system allowed you to register as it said it would, eh?
If it had I would have been given an appointment date and time, it did not. I doubt anyone will get an email with the the date and time.
You expected an appointment as soon as you registered? Why would you expect that instant reaction? It's clearly stated when you register that your appointment will be emailed to you, that you don't believe it is irrelevant to being able to register and just subjective speculation based on nothing.

Your attempted pedantry is not working. Trump clearly claimed the numbers infected with covid was fake news.
Your attempted understanding of what my comments related to is not working, either.
I was reacting to posters claiming that Trump had said that Covid-!9, the virus, was fake, that's all. Disputing a false claim is not pedantry.
Neither I, nor the poster I responded to originally, was commenting on the number of infections, you brought that up.

What if you are over 60 but NOT living with these conditions?
- Severe Chronic Respiratory Diseases (CRDs)
- Coronary artery disease (CAD)
- Chronic kidney disease (CKD) (5th stage)
- Stroke
- Cancer patients receiving chemotherapy
- Diabetes
- Obesity (weight > 100 kg or BMI > 35 kg/m²)
You'd qualify by virtue of being over 60, obviously, that's what is stated.

Zero side effects isn't a bad sign, either. Just as with the virus itself, some people are asymptomatic after the inoculation which doesn't mean that the vaccine isn't effective for them.
