I also can't see how they can enforce this for showing it on Thai stations!
-
I'd like to know who you are supposed to pay this 10,000bht "licence" fee to show it!?
-
So, a list of bars with English commentary.....
Tuskers.....
Anymore?
I haven't checked UN Irish yet, or the sports bar at the Night bazaar....
-
Yes you can access 5Live, but they block the signal for Premier league commentary. Talk sport have the rights to World cup for all 64 matches, not sure what radio rights the BBC have.
-
5Live can't be accessed in Thailand, however it appears talksport.co.uk have exclusive radio rights, this station can be accessed here. However the sound and picture may not be in sync! Worth a try though.
-
So to get the English commentary on UBC so have to pay for HD? Heard it's 2000bht + 290 a mth if already a gold / platinum customer.... Some have posted elsewhere that TRUE is HD but not in English!
-
Talksport have just announced England will travel to Thailand after they play Switzerland on 4th June!
-
That's cool Chaz! Will you also be showing the 1:30am kick offs?
-
I know supersport is no more from 31st, has anyone come up with an alternative yet?
-
They should stick the football plus channel back on! Only access to championship football in Thailand!
-
I'm in Ko san tonight and tmrw if I find somewhere I'll let you know so you can watch the final!
-
If you can find a bar that has alternative cable TV (not true) they may have a channel called "football plus". They show all champ matches.... Today they have Forest Vs Blackpool, followed by Leeds Vs Bristol Rovers LIVE.
Good luck!

.... Once 31st May comes we better be cracking on if we want decent WC2010, cricket and Rugby coverage....
Saw this promo from J-Sat
One thing I don't understand is that Supersport S.A are moving from C-Band to Ku- Band, correct?
Yet J-Sat state Astro is on KU-Band, yet it can still be received here!
Anyone care to explain? Or have I got my wires crossed!

Dsfbrit, sent you a PM about LiveTV, as I mentioned before check out www.thestreaminglounge.co.uk or myp2p.eu. One of those will stream the game live for sure.
-
Almost certain we don't get the S.A feed and it's the Nigeria and Africa feeds we receive only. If you have a C-Band dish then you can perhaps contact Live TV to install their box to receive football plus which is showing the games
Losing Supersport is a blow. Other options would be Astro Supersport in Malaysia or ESPN India?

Could be the ping, which is the rate that information is exchanged at. I'm having same problems, speed test showed results to UK at an absolute joke! Def problem somewhere. I've rang them twice to complain, they said they'll run a check from my area in Huay Keaw. The more that complain, the quicker we'll get a solution.
-
Have you heard anything about this rumour though Mr Singh?
-
Thailand's answer to David Hasslehoff!
-
Has anyone heard that the copyright holder, "RS", for Thailand want 10,000bht per bar as a license to show the world cup in their venue?
Maybe BS, but my mate has read this rumour on various website, yet there is no information as to where to obtain the license.
Has anyone else heard this? If so do you think it'll be enforced?

I have True internet 8MB, I live in Huay Keaw, usually good, sometimes I try and stream live sport and that can be hit and miss. What has been annoying me recently is when I try and listen to Live radio esp Talksport.co.uk it keeps cutting off every 10mins!
The Ping and Download varies often, but think that is a general problem with the server at the other end and Thai internet is also behind that of other countries!
One thing is for sure, it's a shit load better than TOT/ T&TT!
-
Live TV website, they also show 3pm kick offs from championship too!
-
worst case scenario try this website, usually very reliable although you will need a half decent internet connection.

One bar owner I've spoke to has said UBC have guaranteed commentary in English! Guess we'll just have to wait and see....
