  1. Can people please post here the visa agents they have used in PP that have given a 1 day standard turnaround. E.g. Hand in passport Monday morning and pick up Tuesday afternoon... This is the practice at Laos and KL. I know people have said PP embassy is slower, but still reports of this being possible with some agents still.

I have to go and get a single entry visa.... Funds and flights can be shown no problem.

  2. If you are married to another foreigner or a woman from your own country of origin and choose to live in Thailand does this entitle you and your spouse to a Non Imm "O"? Would you have to be over 50 for this to apply?

If you had a child that you chose to bring up in Thailand, that doesn't have a Thai mother would the parents be entitled to a Non Imm "O" as you have a dependent to take care of? If so would the child have to have been born in Thailand?

Finally, would owning a property be enough to get a Non Imm "O"? I have seen many adverts saying it is possible for a foreign couple to own property here, dare say it's all done by setting up a company though.

    Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

  3. I know these will vary in some places.... But, I need to do a tourist visa between Xmas and New Year.

Xmas day is Sunday 25th, I assume all embassies will shut on 26th (substitution day)... Will they also have a substitution day for boxing day? Does anyone have an idea as to when they may reopen? I'm hoping I should be good to apply on 28th, 29th, 30th....

Anyone had any recent experience with the Kunming embassy too? This is the one I want to apply to for these dates.

  4. I found a company the other week.... Opposite the train station (Rod Fai Road) right hand side, before Bossotel. Think it's called AYA travel. They do a mini van service from Chiangmai to Vientiene for 1650 RETURN! Girl in shop said no changing of vans, think you get to the border about 6am and stop there for an hour or two for breakfast til immigration opens. Obv this price doesn't include the cost of the Laos visa, not sure on the leg room in a mini van either for such a long trip. But seems like a decently priced and only direct service I've heard of here.

  5. Seen postings before about a very helpful Indian guy who runs a travel agent near Thapae gate. Does anyone have the name of his office? Or could anyone recommend any other travel agents that could help with a flight to the UK in the next couple of weeks?

    Any help appreciated.

  6. Firstly, if you have a Non immigrant multiple entry visa then you will get 90days for every entry.

You can exit the country everyday of the week if you wished and get 90days everytime right up to the date the visa expires. Just check the date where it says "Visa must be utilized by......" In your case you will re-enter Thailand on the 19th August and immigration will stamp you in for a further 90days.... Yes it takes you past the expiry date, but the terms of the visa are 90days per entry as long as you enter before expiry. So you will be stamped back in until around 19th November, or thereabouts.

The 30day extension you mention relates to tourist visas only.

  7. Go and see Dr. Vicharporn at Chiangmai Ram. She is excellent in this field.

I only get it now and again, it is also quite mild. I use Dermovate cream... but if more severe this might not be appropriate. Literally a finger nail dab on infected area is all that's needed as it's powerful stuff and it you rub around the parts of the skin that are not effected it causes a temporary white patch.

    Good luck.

  8. Jeez! All getting a little bit heated here isn't it! Hope whoever frequents the UN Irish, The old bell or The pub, enjoys whatever beer, sports, or cheap food deals that each has on offer! I've been in all three and they're all good pubs!

  9. Not at all Mr. Miller, just thought it was a bit cheeky / bad translation from the club to include an article in their programme putting farrang supporters in such light. One of my mates had his picture included in this article of him buying a load of Leo beer outside the stadium!

Great effort on the website btw, next season gonna be interesting. Would be good to see a few more away followings similar to the Buriram game last season to crank up the atmosphere!
