Not sure where you are living.
My #1 priority has always been to provide wife & self with good tucker.
Our village market is always humming.
Good vege & meat.
We can both cook.
Coffee & fags don't seem to be popular.????????
I visited here 1993 through to 2013 when I finally dropped anchor and stayed here.
In the tourist years I probably didn't notice too much re food. Mostly ate Western food.
Since living here, it is startling to see how much fizzy soft drink is guzzled and how many tea-spoons of sugar go into a bowl of noodles.
Kids simply follow what their parents or grandparents do.
I have seen the step-daughter shovelling 3 tea-spoons of sugar into 10 year old son's noodles.
Just shake my head now.????????
Yes. Wifey and I have been on some adventures in outlying provincial areas, courtesy of the nice lady.
Always good fun but expensive on fuel driving around in circles.????????
Guess I'm still locked in the 70's.
A wad of cash still feels good.
And I don't need to keep checking a spreadsheet or an app to see if I will be disgraced at the checkout by a refusal on a card.
But yeah. The times they are a changin'.????????
Not sure how much you will "experience" in a air-conditioned sleeper?
I first did Europe trains 35 years ago while back-packin'.
Always a sit up berth enjoying the local people.
Some trains (Yugoslavia/Greece) appeared to have square wheels.
Fabulous stuff.
Enjoy the ride & let us know how it pans out.????????
Loved this news item for the journalistic licence;
Shocking,
Unleashed havoc,
Serene,
Viciously,
Distressed,
Swiftly,
Bore the brunt,
Erratic,and
Tolerance.
Other reporters may have said "Drunk Somchai".
Maybe too many G & T's?
Brilliant.????????
