  1. Somchai in space? Enough baby powder to suffocate a real man and equipped with his gun and machete. Perhaps a rendezvous with mia noi on the ISS? Hopefully the brakes don't fail? My imagination has again been curiously piqued????
  2. The Coyote in Road Runner had amazing powers of recuperation so I guess there is hope?
  3. Looks like the Hammer couldn't answer the question. He doesn't take well to being questioned???? I gave up comparing years ago, no point to it.
  4. Ah, thats why Thai rockets have rear view mirrors.....been wondering about that????????
  5. Hi Ubon. I've been here near on 9 years on Non-Imm Retirement annual extension of stay. I use an agent these days at Jomtien as I got tired of different IO interpretations/paperwork requirements each year to extend. When covid travel restrictions came into force, my agent renewed up to 90 days prior to expiry. Just curious, is this different to the OP's visa/extension of stay? (i.e. 45 days?) Cheers
  6. .....keep a close watch on children on the phone.... You're havin' a laff. The phone is little more than a child minding service.
  7. Gunna have a party in that man cave. You in?
  8. Yeah. That Kartrashian thing is more my type. She's got a hell of a man cave around the back.
  9. I read the last paragraph 3 times. Still none the wiser. Maybe it's a Thainess thing, (or just blatant vote rigging/corruption?)
  10. Brian, I think you got it in one here, apply with your o/s licence, not renew. If there is a lesson or 2 to be learned for anyone, I would suggest always get a IDP if you intend driving. Also, do not try to renew a overly expired licence, transfer from your home country. A good agent (with contacts in your local DLT can also be of assistance (yes, everything costs here). Good Luck
  11. ...paid someone money to be poked with a stick.... Sound a lot like life in general????????.
  12. If someone died alone in the house it is likely the Thai culture of ghosts becomes the rule. No chance of the average Thai going within 100 metres. Dying within a extended family home is OK.
  13. Agreed. If unhappy, politely make up a excuse to have to quickly leave. Pay up full price then smile, nod, wai (again politely) and depart. The OP should remember, this is her income, she needs to survive in a very competitive market, just think, some bar girls etc might not be brilliant after a contract is sealed. Look elsewhere next time. As another poster said, their are millions of options. Good Luck????.
  14. Hey Dez, you got a sturdy umbrella I can borrow?
  15. Somchai in a spacesuit? What could possibly go wrong?
  16. I have since been told that Boots are here, my bad, maybe I just don't go to those shopping malls. Good to hear that pharmacists can give advice rather than assistance. I'll spread the word in my village.
  17. If Warren Zevon was still with us we would be singing "Thailand, Guns & Machetes"
  18. Guessing this is some form of advertisement/promotion? Only scanned the intro. Ignored the long winded blah blah.
  19. I like how you say "uneducated". Living here, I also use this expression, whereby a number of my mates who still holiday for bar girls, use "stupid". I often wonder just exactly who is stupid. Kudos to your view.????????????
  20. My wifes daughter went to a driving school in central plains. I swear to Buddha that after her 8th time behind the wheel of the instructors car on the 500 metre obstacle course, they figured it was easier to just give her a licence. Gearbox and clutch repairs would have cost them a fortune. That was 2 years ago and she still has not driven a car (thankfully.)
  21. Only read the headline, skip the story and straight to comments for this one.
