  1. When I go to Immigration for retirement extension and there are 2 windows: Window One 1900 baht with money-in-the-bank and Window Two 15,000 baht no money-in-the-bank ... I will then consider it.

  3. I would have agreed with that going back to the mid-1970's. But it may be that the way to have bail revoked in Washington DC case would require a motion to do so by the Prosecution. But re: the 'gag' order and possible revocation of bail: Renato Mariotti, a former federal prosecutor, said Chutkan has already previewed a way to address his speech and dodge the issue of a gag order, noting the judge has already warned she may have to bump up Trump’s March trial date if outside factors like his comments jeopardize the ability to carry out a fair trial in the courtroom. “I actually think she’s more likely to do that because it’s not reviewable, really, on appeal, and she has wide discretion to do so. And I could see her moving up the trial date as a way of sending a message to Donald Trump rather than getting herself in this challenging situation where she’s trying to police his speech, which is always a tricky situation for a judge to be in,” Mariotti said last week during an appearance on MSNBC. https://thehill.com/regulation/court-battles/4219119-doj-gag-order-trump-jan-6-case-puts-judge-tough-spot
  4. From thee RawStory link above: Donald Trump on Friday suggested a retiring general might deserve the death penalty, prompting some to say he went too far and others to ask if the former president violated his court-ordered conditions for release. From the X post above:
  5. Well if/when counselor Gessler files his anti-SLAPP motion you'll find out what at least he and his client think it is.
  6. Potential for threats from Trump in 14th Amendment case sways Colorado judge Trial set to begin Oct. 30 SEPTEMBER 22, 2023 Most of the Friday hearing concerned procedural matters. Trump’s lawyer in the case, Scott Gessler, a former Republican Colorado secretary of state, indicated he intends to try to get the case tossed under a recent Colorado law that protects people who exercise First Amendment rights from the threat of lawsuits — known as an anti-SLAPP * law. The allegations against Trump in the case are all “based on his speech,” Gessler said. “We believe it’s a winner,” Gessler said of the pending motion under anti-SLAPP — or “strategic lawsuits against public participation.” https://coloradonewsline.com/2023/09/22/potential-for-threats-from-trump-in-14th-amendment-case-sways-colorado-judge/ * Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation (SLAPP suit)
  7. September 9, 2023 Just months after leaving the White House in 2021, Jared Kushner secured a $2 billion investment from a Saudi crown prince-led fund, despite objections from the fund’s advisers about the deal. A panel that screens investments for the Saudi sovereign wealth fund expressed concerns about Kushner’s new private equity firm, Affinity Partners. According to The New York Times, they cited issues like the firm’s inexperience, the possibility of the kingdom bearing most of the investment risk, unsatisfactory due diligence on the firm’s operations, an excessive asset management fee, and public relations risks due to Kushner’s previous role as a senior adviser to President Trump. However, the full board of the $620 billion Public Investment Fund, led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, overruled the panel. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/jared-kushners-post-white-house-211939446.html

  9. It’s Official: Trump Would Be Richer If He Had Just Invested His Inheritance Into The S&P 500 Trump critics have long claimed that if the former president had simply taken the money his father gave him, stuck it in the S&P 500 and watched the money appreciate over time, he’d be far richer. But for years, those critics were wrong. In fact, Trump outperformed the market for much of his life, developing some great buildings, lucking out on a couple of other projects and capitalizing on a knack for marketing. The result is that the oft-repeated, long-false claim that Trump would have been richer if he’d just stuck his inheritance in the S&P 500 has—finally—turned into truth. As of today, Trump would be an estimated $400 million richer if he had just put his father’s money in the index. https://www.forbes.com/sites/danalexander/2021/10/11/its-official-trump-would-be-richer-if-he-had-just-invested-his-inheritance-into-the-sp500
  10. Push to Gag Trump Pits Free Speech Against Risk of Violence By putting threats to the judge and prosecutors at the heart of its argument to limit the former president’s statements about the election case, the Justice Department raised issues that have little precedent. There is little precedent for how the judge overseeing the case, Tanya S. Chutkan, should think about how to weigh strong constitutional protections for political speech against ensuring the functioning of the judicial process and the safety of the people participating in it. “Everything about these cases is making new law because there are so many gaps in the law,” said Paul F. Rothstein, a Georgetown University law professor and a criminal procedure specialist. “The system is held together by people doing the right thing according to tradition, and Trump doesn’t — he jumps into every gap.” “It’s a really hard argument in normal circumstances to say the government, who is prosecuting someone, can shut them up from defending themselves in public,” Professor Tarkington said. “What makes this backward from everything else is that normally, in every criminal prosecution I can think of, the power imbalance is that the state has all the power and the defendant has none. But in this case, you have a defendant who has very significant power.” https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/22/us/politics/trump-gag-order-free-speech.html https://archive.ph/W7Hje

  12. July 15, 2015 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump took an ongoing feud with Sen. John McCain to a new level today, mocking the former GOP nominee for having been a prisoner of war and calling him a "loser" for failing to win the White House in 2008. "He was a war hero because he was captured," Trump said at the 2015 Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa. "I like people who weren't captured," the current Republican front-runner told political consultant Frank Luntz, who hosted the event. https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2015/07/18/424169549/trump-lashes-out-at-mccain-i-like-people-who-werent-captured ***************** If the above comments on McCain didn't turn off the would-be faithful pre-election 2016, I don't see how the current brouhaha will. I wish it were that easy.
  13. L. Lin Wood is on record of being out of his mind. He had to be listed in the filing because he was co-counsel or attorney-of-record for Sidney Powell.
  14. He is a potential witness. He is not a witness until he has been sworn in in court to testify as a witness. And that might never happen as his credibility could easily be called in question. And "here's your witness" was just court lingo for when one attorney turns a witness over to the opposing attorney for cross-examination.
  15. OK you win. He's flipped. BTW here's your witness: On January 11, 2021, Delaware Superior Court Judge Craig A. Karsnitz gave Wood's social media postings in his published reasons for an order revoking Wood's right to appear before the court. Karsnitz described the allegations about (CJ) Roberts as "too disgusting and outrageous to repeat," and stated that he had "no doubt" that Wood's tweets (along with "many other things") played a role in inciting the attack on the Capitol that occurred a few days before. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L._Lin_Wood
  16. (Wood) was never formally part of the Trump campaign’s legal team, though he promoted the same baseless claims that Trump embraced and could shed light on efforts to upend the election results in Georgia. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/09/20/politics/lin-wood-georgia-election-subversion-case/index.html
  17. And this would maybe come up if Lin Wood was called as a prosecution witness: At the end of December 2020, Wood launched a series of baseless allegations on Twitter: he implied that Chief Justice John Roberts was involved in the death of Justice Antonin Scalia, suggested that Roberts was a child trafficker, declared that the deceased Jeffrey Epstein was actually alive, and that Epstein could reveal the truth about Roberts. At the start of January 2021, Wood declared his belief that Vice President Mike Pence would "face execution by firing squad" for "treason", after Pence's lawyers fought a lawsuit which was aimed at making Pence refuse to count electoral votes for Joe Biden. Wood also called for Roberts and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to be arrested for treason. Wood was criticized for these comments, and responded by insisting that he is not insane. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L._Lin_Wood
  18. The actual court filing involves Lin Wood as a potential witness in the Powell case when he had also previously represented Powell in several ill-fated lawsuits. ***************** The DA's office said it identified six attorneys who are representing various defendants but have also had previous involvement in the case or related matters, including by previously representing witnesses for the state -- a situation they say could result in those witnesses being subject to cross examination by their former attorneys. "The state has worked diligently to identify any potential conflicts of interest concerning attorneys who currently represent Defendants in this case and who previously represented material witnesses or parties before the special purpose grand jury and other prost-election proceedings," the filing states. https://abcnews.go.com/US/pro-trump-attorney-lin-wood-prosecution-witness-georgia/story?id=103359555
  19. Lin Wood: ‘I didn’t flip on President Trump’ 5 hours ago Former Atlanta attorney Lin Wood pushed back Wednesday on the notion that he would testify against Donald Trump in Fulton County’s racketeering case. Wood’s name turned up in a new filing by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis naming him as a potential witness in the case, leading to speculation he would testify against the former president. “I didn’t flip on President Trump. That’s just pure nonsense,” Wood told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “I wouldn’t have any knowledge to flip on him.” Wood said he has been told he will be subpoenaed by the prosecution, but he has not had any conversations with Willis about what questions he will be asked. https://www.ajc.com/news/lin-wood-i-didnt-flip-on-president-trump/K36BYKE4LRABFKAPTKCZCXPQLM/
  20. MAGA lawyer named as state's witness in Georgia case swears he hasn't flipped on Trump: "Zero truth" Election fraud conspiracy theorist Lin Wood was listed as one of the people serving as "witnesses" in a GA filing PUBLISHED SEPTEMBER 20, 2023 2:02PM (EDT) Wood, however, denies any suggestion he has flipped on the former president. "There's zero truth to that," Wood told The Hill on Wednesday. "I'm always willing to go in under subpoena, I'll go testify and answer their questions, honestly, like I did in the grand jury." https://www.salon.com/2023/09/20/maga-lawyer-named-as-states-witness-in-georgia-case-swears-he-hasnt-flipped-on-trump-zero-truth/ *********************** 09/20/23 1:39 PM ET In an interview with The Hill, Wood said he’s simply responding to a subpoena. “There’s zero truth to that,” Wood said when asked if he had turned against Trump. A special purpose grand jury that heard evidence in the probe for months had recommended Wood be indicted, but prosecutors ultimately opted against charging him with Trump and 18 others last month. Wood previously indicated that he had been subpoenaed to appear before the special grand jury. https://thehill.com/regulation/court-battles/4214297-attorney-lin-wood-named-as-states-witness-in-georgia-case-but-says-he-hasnt-turned-on-trump/
