"Envious" Pit Bull called Nazi attacks - owner left in a pool of blood
Lorry replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yeah, yeah, yeah....we have heard that. My father had a very cute and lovely Leonberger for us kids. It would bite every human being it could get hold of (and killed our cat), including us kids So every time, dad paid the victim like 50 dollars and we were instructed to tell everybody the dog would never bite anyone. I have never, ever heard from a dog owner that his dog has ever bitten anyone. Makes me wonder, where all those dog bites come from. -

Pitbull is not a Lamborghini. Pitbull is an Abrams. And there are reasons why you cannot buy an Abrams at your neighborhood car dealership. -

So, the purpose why you own it is violence. Just like some posters mentioned, they are called Tyson, Nazi, etc. How do you call it? -
BTS / MRT monthly pass - Does it exist ? / How much is it ?
Lorry replied to Baron Samedi's topic in Bangkok
It is good for workers on low wages who take the same bus twice a day, 6 days a week. -
Second Booster - Thoughts on whether it is advisable or not?
Lorry replied to Longwood50's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
To answer the OP: 3 shots give you good and long lasting protection from death or critical illness. (The protection against infection - without serious illness - vanishes pretty fast, as another poster has seen from his wife's antibodies). But of course, you still have a certain risk of serious illness. This risk is halved by a second booster. (Talking about people over 60 or 65 - the Harvard study that the Florida Standard misleadingly misquoted was about people in their 20s). -

Yes. In Bangkok, they are still mostly black and white. Only you country bumpkins get the beautiful new red ones, we here have to wait. -
Health Insurance recommendations for 5 month trip (visa exempt entries)
Lorry replied to bbi1's topic in Health and Medicine
You are mistaken. Exactly, this is possible. As I said, there are jurisdictions where he would have a case. There were legal proceedings in cases like this (patient in the US where we are talking 6 or 7 figure USD sums) and the insurer lost. The normal way, of course, is that the treating doctors refuse to declare the patient fit to fly. That makes things very difficult for the insurer. But some insurers don't care, and cases like the one you describe happen all the time. -
Health Insurance recommendations for 5 month trip (visa exempt entries)
Lorry replied to bbi1's topic in Health and Medicine
That's an overgeneralization. It depends on the jurisdiction relevant for the insurance contract (European laws are generally more in favor of the consumer than Anglo-Saxon laws) and on the wording of the policy (eg the travel insurance of the Irish subsidiary of Allianz contains a clause to this effect, whereas Germany's biggest travel insurer doesn't have this clause). Even if by law the insurer doesn't have this option he may very well try it. -
Do the right thing and stop at Zebras - campaign continues
Lorry replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Same in Bangkok. I came back from abroad after the doctor's death and something very weird happened at our local zebra: cars stopped and people crossed (there is no redlight). This happened again and again, I found it very strange, but after a while I got used to it. The local pedestrians are obviously used to it. Later I found another zebra, where it's almost the same. By now I had already made the connection between the doctor's death and this new piece of Thai culture. Even at the almost invisible zebra in front of our building many cars will let me pass. -
Maybe they didn't sell it to you because they didn't know what it is. I have never heard of metraconozole, neither has Google. Google asked me whether I meant itraconazole , which is easily available. As to voriconazole, I guess they didn't have it on stock. It's not something your average neighborhood pharmacy would carry.

I walk better than before, that's what friends tell me (probably due to a lot of physical therapy). Myself, I feel walking is more tiring, but 10000 - 15000 steps or a bit more are usually no problem, Riding a recumbent bike (a suggestion from here) with no load is very soothing for the knee. Riding a bike with load can be done, but it will hurt a bit. I tried to do it daily, but the knee got worse so I stopped.

Closed comminuted fracture of tibial plateau, Schatzker VI, with a very long fracture from the joint down the diaphysis of the tibia. Fibula not affected. ORIF with plates and screws could not completely restore the cartilage, there is an area of about 2 cm2 where the tibia is not covered by cartilage anymore. There is also a small step in the articular surface. This will lead to arthrosis, how serious and how fast is anybody's guess. Sorry, I didn't want to get too technical.

You were lucky. A friend was there one day earlier. For retirement extension with 800000 at Krungsri bank (he didn't have the problem with the new bank book), arrived same time as you. He had to wait for ages, was thoroughly pis.ed off that at lunch break he didn't have the extension yet, arrived home in the late afternoon without re-entry. He had to go again today for the re-entry.

It has to be a Fixed deposit account? I was under the impression any account, such as a savings account, would do, as long as the money stays in the account 2 months before and 3 (not sure?) months after thr extension. A friend just did his extension yesterday, he doesn't have a fixed deposit account (he uses a foreign currency account).

There were 2 or 3 reports last year that said this. It happened to me, too. Just yesterday, it happened to a friend. So, be warned. Bank book is not mentioned in the official list of requirements. Many reports here, where bank book was not required. Maybe it's only certain IOs who want it. But they are serious about it. They send people back home if they don't bring the bank book. I don't know what they actually check in the bank book.

I did the same, with the same result

I know but was shocked about the delay. The backlog from covid explains it.

Update: she was referred to the surgeon in Surin Hospital, they did a CT or MRI (I forgot), and then the surgeon told her he couldn't see anything in the pictures. All of this took many weeks. She was then referred to the university hospital in Khonkaen and got an appointment last week. The surgeon in Khonkaen scolded her, why the surgeon in Surin made the appointment in Khonkaen so late? Then the surgeon in Khonkaen gave her a new appointment next year (not kidding). Vagina is getting itchy, but even her friends who are farmers tell her that cleaning or medicating the vagina won't help much. She needs to have the fistula operated. I keep suggesting going to Bangkok, but I am just a friend of friends

Yes, 4 years has psychological reasons. She doesn't see a problem, just the people around her find the non-stop scratching disgusting. But from multiple trial and errors it is clearly related to the kind shampoo. And if she doesn't wash her hair at all there is no itching anymore. Conditioners are even worse (which doesn't surprise me). She is trying to do without conditioners, but she is a Thai girl...
